Hello All,
Im getting some dichro images made up but ive heard that Laser etching is kinda poor and leaves a sheen of some sort, i do remember working with laser ans acid etching and IMO the acid was better. what do you guys think laser or acid?

Acid works great with that it doesn't have any opportunity to scratch the boro. The minute scratches can lead to air bubbles or unslightly scuffs when encased. Acid is just hard because with the mask we've been using, it has a layer that usually gets blasted off when used with the sandblaster. We did a laser for detail and a mask for heavy removal of dichroic coating,....if that makes sense? Worked out OK but not up to the standards I would require for a finished piece.

I can make you screen/acid etched images - but the set up is pricey.

How many do you need? I've pretty much just used the process to make circuit boards, but there's no reason the same resist couldnt be used on glass, and the acid eats any metal.

PM me your specs.
