Allright, here's the deal.

The GAS conference has had more than a couple of cancelations for this years demo's... one of them flameworking. So in order to keep things moving along, the wise and talented president of GAS asked Thomas Muller Litz (sp) from Lauscha to fill in because he really wanted to demo in Pittsburgh and asked Shane if he could do it. Well, now that the opportunity has been offered and most likely accepted a cash flow issue has come up for Thomas. It seems that if he were to come, he would like to teach some workshops, sell some work and the like to cover his travel here to the U.S. Who wouldn't?

Allright, so apparently he is going to teach before GAS down south... but no class is scheduled afterword. I ran it past Tom (Wonka) that maybe we should see if Thomas would like to go out to his studio and run a little workshop after GAS. Keep in mind this is all very tentative and I have had no communication with anyone other than Shane about this. I am waiting to hear back from Marcie Davis who is apparently in closer contact with Thomas to see what she thinks and try and communicate with Thomas.

Whew...

Lauscha glass... it's cool shit. You can learn a lot playing with soft glass. I took a class last summer from Andre Gutgesel that I thought was probably the best class I have ever been in.

So if you were going to be at GAS anyway and you wanted to check out a class from a Lauscha master. There is a slight possibility it could be made to happen. Even if it doesn't get off the ground and you were in town... go up to Wonka's place and pretend to be Thomas. That would be funny. Just act German.

I talked with Marcie. Sounds like this might work out... she probably has talked to Tom by now. We're hoping to know for sure before Salem so she can have some promotional stuff going on for this.

There will be more details soon. The idea is, that just about any skill level could check this out. If you want to montage out, it could be possible. Thomas is going to do a wide spectrum of stuff so no one would get left out.

Me and Ubertubing have some experience with this stuff, so if you were more attracted to working the montage we can help out a little too. I want to see Thomas bust out on a Thurengian.

It should be reasonable.
