I just got these from another blower in my town, He gave me a sweet deal since they were a little beat up. He said they are aura lens glasses and when new, they were in the 200-280 dollar range, I'm thinking they are they aura 286 split lenses. Any help would be great.
thanks,
Jason

They ARE NOT Aura products.
They are home-made, not made by Aura.
Get your money back, you were sold fake lenses.

Those are definitely not an aura product, that looks pretty ghetto. Looks just like a pair of standard didy's with a flip up shade epoxied on the bottom.
Get your money back if you paid anything more than like 20 bucks for those.

WWorth less than 20 bux considering they glued a polarized sunglass to the bottom. I wouldn't even use them, the flawed filtration could cause more harm than good.
i hope this is a joke. It's gotta be!

Dude, go back over there and whup some ass, got a pair of those for 30 bucks 5 years ago, and that was for people to watch with, totally bead glasses, not for boro. You got rizzobbed!!!!! That totally sucks that somebody would pull some shit like that. Deffinately go beat some ass!!! Next time look at some of the glassblowing links right off this board or just ask people on here, we will usually steer people in the right direction. Check out Winship, Frantz, Glasscraft, Trevs glass, Etc.Etc Etc.
And if you still want glasses auras are supposed to be prettty good.

The glasses are so retarded looking, like $30 didyiums with sunglasses glued on, its pretty obvious they aren't 286.
But troll about it? Why would someone bother doing that? Doesn't seem very exciting.

the saddest thing is, about a year ago I actually thought about glueing some green welding shade #5 onto the bottom of my didy's.... My flip ups don't clamp on properly 8(

Well.... what do you think a laminated lens is in the first place? I'm sure that you could probably try it with some UV glue, green welding shade #5 lenses, and a pair of didymiums. I wouldn't try to sell any to beginner lampworkers, though. :lol
