I just looked at their site and it looks like the current issue is the one with the sandblasted eagle head on the cover, right? That one came out a while ago.

The previous issue was out way late, and the Japanese issue is out on time. That is why it seems like such a short time between issues. There is some really cool stuff going on in this one.

I just got my flow today. It is a great issue.

The only issue I have is with this new issue they put an adhesive subscription paper stick to the front cover. I ripped the cover trying to get it off.

yeah the new Flow is sick.. I was lucky enough to meet a good number of the artists featured last year in Japan. They truly give new meaning to the word intricate. absolutely crushing the mandrel beds.. tonbodama is a very respected artform in Japan and now we can all see why

Yeah I just went through the whole mag and it is wicked sick. I would say that they are crushing the mandrel and there are only a handful of americans that are on their level.

I learned at least a dozen new things from this issue.

Goto page 34 and you'll see a nice picture of a table with alot of pipes.

yeah, mine had that sticker too. it came in a plastic sleeve(nice touch btw), why not put the sticker on there? i want to keep these things forever so i'm not even trying to be ripping the cover. not that big of a deal, it just covered up a little part of the cover pic.

just a little c.c., not a diss.
peace, m

Seeeeeeerosly considering subscribing to this mag.

You guys have all good comments about it and Wil is such a nice bloke to deal with anyway.

Now that I just sold the 500th boro punty on eBay I can afford a year's subscription.

Even though it will probly take 6 months to reach out here in the sticks it sounds like it will be worth the wait.

Do they do a sports edition with a centre fold...

hey swampy, they got a new partner on board now so the publishing and delivery time schedules should be much improved....you would love it if you went for that subscription (order back issues too if you can)

Happy Easter everybody. The website is updated with the Japanese issue.

www.theflowmagazine.com

Caught us off guard, actually coming out on time. Sorry about the stickers. It's one of the things that slipped by me on this transition. I will check on that. I believe their reasoning will be that the sticker can't rub off in the poly bagging. Regardless, I agree that it sucks. Appreciate ya'll being so serious about your magazine.

So far, everyone is pretty stoked on our partnership. I want to hear it good or bad. This is the first issue we did with our partner Maureen James, of Profitable Glass Quarterly. I gotta say that Jen and I felt like we were working with family the whole time. This transition has been pretty painless and ya'll get your magazine in record time. I think it is more readable, with the small changes Maureen and her staff had made.

Be looking at the website in a week or so. New stuff going on there as well.
So, let me have it, both barrels.

Peace,

Boxfan

Have they got things more organised at The Flow now? I remember a very long, heated discussion on LE last year (?) about how inconsistant deliveries were, people not getting them for months, even though they had paid etc. I was sent 3 free copies by a nice lady who was one of their advocates, when I commented that I would never risk subscribing from Australia, if their deliveries in USA were that bad...

It looked like a great Mag, so just wondering if things have improved? I was really keen to see the women in glass issue...figured Id know a few names at least....

I will let our subscribers say whether we have improved in the last 18 months. We have just partnered with an established publishing company of 23 years. MAureen, our new partner, has never missed a deadline. THis Japanese issue is shocking most as it arrived so quickly with our new publishers help and new mailing classification. If that doesn't re-assure you, We have two distributors across the big pond. I will post their contact info Monday.

Peace,
