Can you guys give me a jump as to what colors go good with silver fume? (and gold too?) I know silver likes colbalt, periwinkle, white and gold with bubblegum, but are there any others for just simple rod or frit implosion pendants?

Thanks man!!

I like to lay down some gold and silver then put Elvis behind it. I also like to lay down some gold and put mystery aventurine behind it.

one of my favs is a light spray of silver, followed by heavy gold then dotted with clear. Put it over your favorite black and you won't be dissapointed.

cobalt tube works good as well, and its easy to find and cheap.
I would have to say I like the combo of silver and gold, you get all sorts of colors, encased in clear or not

Hey thanks guys I'lltry those. I have trouble fuming gold on my cuda though. I know the piece has to be hot, and I need a driving flame, but the gold just sits on my quartz. Not sure what the deal is. I'll keep trying tho.

i used to use a beth pm2d and i hated fuming on it. i bought a national to keep on the side of the bench. it fumes like a champ and is also handy for getting into tight spaces for polishing welds.

It took me a while to figure out how to fume on a surface mix torch but once I got it realized that I get a better fume. I do remember how easy the premix was though so maybe its just my imagination.

I don't have the tendency to over fume as much, and I sorta noticed that when I fume both silver and gold I get more colors from the surface mix.
