Just out of curiosity, who does the final approval once something is 'nominated' to be a featured gallery on GP.org?

i think it requires a nomination of a lvl 2 mod and the approval of a lvl 3? i dunno tho.

from what i know , any lvl 3 mod can feature. doesn't have to be nominated.we are lvl 3 ( joe and donna on ga .org) ,don't know how ??? have never been featured either ? guess it really boils down to "who you know" or you pieces are really kickin' butt ? who knows ???? hope this helps ????
peace & smile, smile, smile = drives peeps nuts "yes"

i never feature pieces cause of "who" made them, only if they kick some ass, and in some cases i've featured something because it was a leap in that person's learning curve.

Geez - Don't get so defensive...:tongue2:

I recently had something un-nominated (that I was pretty proud of) and I was wondering if it had something to do with the Glass Aficionado website I put into the description? No harm, no foul, just wondering so I don't make the same mistake again. :bangHead:

Your stuff always gets my vote N8.
I don't remember if I ever nominated on GP..I have on GA, I'm sure theirs a similar process...how do you get un-nominated Nate?..Well maybe you don't know if you don'y know how they get nominated in the first place...Am I making any sense, I don't get up this early usually.

I like to work till 2 or 3 in the am, so I start at 12 or 1 pm. When it gets warmer, I get up early everyday, and change my schedule, like in Florida, I was up at 8 am Eastern time every day.

Anyway, I see the little nominate feature, and I have hit it on a few bad ass pieces now that I wiped the sleep outta my eyes.

Misha's right, if you keep track of the newbies, and watch their work progress, I'd think thats a good way to measure, along with how innovative it is.

i wasnt trying to be defensive, but i know that you are good friends with people who help out with the site, and you know who has those moderator powers.. sorry if i came off rude, but i knew there was more to the story (as there always is with the gp/ga threads). sorry if i called you out, but these threads always start off with some suppossed story(out of curiosity, just wonderin) then someone says something that might offend, and truth comes out.. just tryin to cut to the chase. chris

un-nominated? i didn't realize that could be done. i have unfeatured stuff before tho...did i unfeature something? is that what you mean? if so show it to me and i'll tell you why specifically, but in the past it's been because it had tits, nugs, or someone told me they featured it on accident.

Yes, I know who some of the mods are, but I didn't know who gets the final say in this particular situation. I even looked around in the Mod list/history to see if I could find any info pertinent to this situation, but I couldn't.

Here's the deal...I posted a few new pieces earlier this week and one of them happened to get a feature nomination. I was pretty stoked since I worked really hard on a concept in the piece that I felt is kinda innovative. I told a few customers to check out the feature, but a few hours later, the nomination was removed and it never made it to be featured. I was wondering if it had something to do with the Glass Aficionado website, even though it doesn't allow sales.

Judge me how you want. I'm not trying to get the gallery re-featured. I merely wanted to know if I screwed up, so I wouldn't make the same mistake again.

I notice changes on GA all the time. I just logged in and noticed I can feature myself! Very tempting! hahaha
also I wonder how the top 100 works? sometimes I am in the "80's" and even jump up to the "50's"" then off the list the next day? I haven't seen any other names jump around as much....
I am not computer savvy AT ALL, so Im surprised that I've gotten this far!

Phab, thanx for the video clip, My Humps was so funny!!! I didn't know that was a real song...I'll be laughing all day
