Even though mothers day is a marketing holiday invented by hallmark happy mothers day everyone.

On a happy note my mother in law got the best mothers day present ever. Her husband had a heart attack this past week and was given a 20% chance to survive. He had a triple bypass and an anurism fixed yesterday and today he was taken off the ventilator...and the first words she got to hear from her almost dead hubby was "happy mothers day, I love you". He'll get to come home in a week.

Well, it's not a Hallmark invention http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mother's_Day but Father's Day is close to being Hallmark! There is actually a long historical record of honoring Mothers. it's one of the few holidays that agrees with me, as I really do despise the contrived "hallmark" holidays.
