Couldn't pass up the best location in town, and the deal I worked out with the current owners, come and go as I please, demo whenever I feel like it. Get a check every week. Maybe I did over extend myself, some shows, gallery accounts, wholesale....never see the family now.

I gave up my own store 13 yrs. ago, never give up glass..

Nice Steve. Very elegant. I imagine that it is a delicate balance with that type of bird- how tall is it?

So, is this boutique in Milwaukee or thereabouts? I'd like to stop by if that's alright. I'll be in that area the second week of June- you know, that bead thing... LOL.

Thanks all. Its in the Dells, Wisconsin that is. Stop on in Julz, its right off the interstate a few miles...no turns, straight shot into town, called the Dandelion.
thanks for the compliments, we get about 50,000 people a day in the summer, chicago-Minneapolis, but from everywhere in the us.

The advertising budget here is about 8 million dollars....all for a town of 2500 people in the off-season.

3 of the largest waterparks in the world, outdoor and indoor, a real family destination.

Edit: The bird is about 8' high..I used uv glue to the base, but it stands by itself, its on a blue beveled mirror.

Thanks again..its 8 inches..not feet!! A kiln that size would cost megamoney.
I did a beautiful cardinal on a branch with a white lily dipped in ruby frit, the cardinal is done with elvis over borostyx white, a true blood red with depth, anyone try that combo?

I did a squid for the moble for the garden at AGI last year with that color combo, Someone bought my big octopus at the glass center at Wonkaville and wants a squid, specifically with Elvis over white.

Next time i drive through i will pick up a pack of curds and stop by.

I drove by there earier this year on my way to St. Paul.

I should really try my hand at sculpting. Pick a subject and work it out. Just getting the hang of hollow work now so i guess one thing at a time. Very nice Heron though. Now how about a blue one:devilish:

I used to have a little buddy heron that followed me around when I went fishing on this one spot on the river. It was a tiny, ugly little thing, but it warmed up to me and would eat food I would give it and run up to see the fish when I would land one. The next year I go back to the same spot and this pretty big sized heron seemed to remember being fed and was ruining my fishing by scaring everything away.

Good one Steve.
