I had a kiln meltdown two weeks ago and lost almost everything I was working on. Fried relays suck. And then I went back to work.
There isn't as much as I had hoped for, but I will continue on the other ones for another showing.
Basicaly all of the first six galleries are new works. Make sure and peruse the jimi piece.
Cheers!

I've been meaning to put this up for ages but couldn't due to lack of knowledge;

Sorry I didn't get it done sooner, it would have saved all your hard work.

It adds value to the piece if you blast on a slope. You really need to take some lessons from me Steve. I know all that shit. Plus you gotta have a green beer close to you in order to even turn on the blaster or the piece is just going to laugh at you.
I did that away from everyone incase the cabinet was all leaky... I didn't want it on peoples food or in Kevins RV.
And Swampy, my controller is fine... it just popped a relay open and took off to the races. Relays do that from time to time.

I know all about that, I had mine in my workshop for awhile...big mistake. It leaked aluminum oxide out the sides...so when you get that dry mouth feeling, your inhailing that shit..I moved it to the garage and ran a vent pipe to the outside from my dust collector..particles still get by a 2 stage one.
Now that were on relays...I fried my big solid state one, seperate from my solid state curcuit board. My kiln won't shut off or on, unless I plug it in or un-plug.
I assume I still have another small relay on that board thats stuck open or closed?

Well, I got some pics of the lost pieces due to the kiln meltdown. I already gave some of them away... these I might build something with. I think the Wild Bill one might go to Big Don for his cabin. I've been meaning to make him a wall piece.

Now it's on to the Donnie Iris piece.
Although the math is tricky for most, I feel that it is most efficient to describe these pieces and precisely illin, to the power of rad.
I especially like the whiskey bottle in the "Dead Man's Hand" set. The necking on the bottle gives it a sort of loose, early America feel that's obviously very appropriate for the piece.
Absolutely impeccable blasting aside. The second bottle came out better anyway though. Stunning work Rex!

Funny Din...
But you're right on the money. I was going for a very rustic and early look on that piece circa 1890's.

Doh! Bummer on those losses. :depressed
You could make some crushed (glass) beer cans out of those - especially that green one kinda looks like a crushed beer can :D
