We won’t be able to make it to Wheaton ourselves this year, but some of our marbles will be there thanks to Jason McGhee. :)

A new series…well about 6 months old but I have yet to be happy with the photographs, so they’ve been exclusive to our local venue, the Portland Saturday market. The series has gone over great there, even though we don’t have many serious collectors coming to see us on the weekends yet, I’m sure they are in the area. Anyway, we’ll have a few of these at the show with Jason so you’ll get to see them in hand.

Magnified Facet Series…and actual faceted piece of glass is trapped in these marbles. We’ve done various things with the surroundings and backings; here are two examples, of which the pictures do not do justice.

Gold

We also have a new ribbon/bandit series, in which the ribbon on the inside is all made of pinwheels in this example. We’ll have some of these there, with different twists. ;)

Runaway Bandits

We’ll have other things as well, but that’s it for the sneak peek tonight. Check back, I might be able to come up with some more previews. :D

nice work guys! i can imagine it would be hard to find a focal plane that would capture the interior and exterior of the marbles in one pic.

Nice work! Those interior (fumed?) facets are a cool idea - don't think I've ever seen that before.

Have fun in NJ and watch out for those horrible drivers on the NJ turnpike!

Thanks you guys I'm glad you like them. These facet marbles are really tricky to make, there is a fine line between too cold and to hot to engulf these bad boys in clear. But I must say it took me for ever to post these. Few have have seen them but if you have I think you would agree the optics are unbelievable. The pinwheel marbles were my take on a old school/vintage style marble.

The pics will never show the full effect. Maybe one of these days someone who buys one will try. Here are some close ups.

that definantly shows what's going on inside better. it's amazing how clean you were able to keep the corners in there.
