I was having to work night during the summer in Louisiana. So i bought an A.C unit for my studio but my exhaust sucked out the cool air.
What i did to keep my self cool was run some ac duct work from the window unit to a dryer exhaust to the back of a work jacket this keeps me very cool. It sound funny but the dryer hose lets you move around. A light jacket zips and unzips at the work station

My studio is part of my actual house. Its a porch that I access through my kitchen. SO I just turn the AC way up and seal the whole house up except for the window next to the AC and the makeup air gets cooled by the AC. As long as I sit in a direct line between the door and the fan: I stay relatively cool. I just moved in so Im scared of my first electric bill LOL

After taking a month off during the winter to go work in florida, I've compared my electric bill and figured it cost about $1.20 a day to run my kiln for 8-10 hrs. a day, which is about the same when we had that midwest heat wave up here in wisconsin of many 90 degree days in a row and ran my ac unit just as much, so no need to figure it out to the kilowatt, as its worth every penny.

I don't have AC, but when I get my new studio up and running, I'm going to duct the AC under the table and dump it right in my lap. The jacket's a good idea too, but I dance around a lot... I can't sit still. I figure the AC is just going to get sucked out, but it will have to run up my front side to get out. :D

These little units are great! You can put them under your bench and have them blowing on you.
The Alen C475 is like a miniature heat pump. It has AC and heat.

Kristian.. I used to have one similar... They do work great... you just have to exhaust the hot air out, but they come with the little duct. I may get another one, instead of using a window unit. Thanks for the link!

Yeah, I have the C475. It has worked great this summer and I look forward to see how the heat works this winter.
