it took a while to find myself on the gtt...
the learning curve is steep after working
for over a year on a red max, 4 or 5 months
on a 8m and 2 to 3 months on a 3a...

sorry my camera sucks such ass but,
i hope the pix show that i'm getting the feel
for my new torch and i getting where i can
do hollow work again...

this is what i was doing when i was a kid,
but, i wasn't as good and i didn't have
the support behind my efforts or the
resources that "Mojo" has...

Give this kid a listen as you check out my
little bits and if you like what you hear,
search you tube for many more videos
of this rising star...

a long time ago but, i'm glad i had the other torches along the way...:shifty:

Hey, nice work! Glad that you're liking the Phantom - once you get all of the knobs figured out, it's a pretty nifty torch

Nice work! I can't help but be a little amused by the dong-bong, I'd buy it! Congrats on the new camera & it looks like it takes excellent pics. I'm looking for a new one too, what did you get?
I just hooked up a new phantom after being a carlisle cc user for 3 yrs, so I'm stuck on that same learning curve.

Sweet dude, you need to post more pics. These threads are where I get my inspiration from.

this may seem like it has nothing to do with glass and
that is very true for everyone, except myself...

this is the only piece from my past that i used to make...

after i got out of gold and silver smithing and casting,
i started to do a proses called relief art, where you
remove the solid background and leave the image of
a coin... i used these coins to make different pieces
of jewelry... this served me well for a few years and
then i went into wire wrapping shinny rocks and making
hemp and beaded jewelry... that in itself was a step back
to my roots because, i started in jewelry and art with
beads and a loom, making hat bands, belts and chokers...
anyway, i got into glass because of the desire of my
buyers to have colors instead of quality stones wrapped
in wire... while looking for a glass artist to make little
bits of glass for me, i found that it would be best to
make what i need myself... that being said, i have not
put any of my sculpturing skills or carving shills
from my days of casting to use as, i went into boro and
pipes... i have been thinking of getting into some soft
glass and doing some figurines and also, so i can enjoy
the price difference, as well as, the color differences...

this is a coin from germany before world war two and
it is a steel and nickle mix, which makes it really hard
to cute but, very durable... it was never finished and
you can tell this buy the fact that the letters in the
wording around the edge are not in relief...

sense i feel confident on the phantom, i think that i will start a fresh thread
next time i post in this section of the forum, if i can get the hole mini gallery
thing figured out... if that sounds kinda funny, let me say this, i have been a
lampworker for a year longer than this hole computer/internet/posting to blogs/
hosting pictures/copying and pasting code/bla/bla/bla thing... and not to set a
date on myself but, when i was 21 (i think) i saw my first add for a computer
that an individual could own, in an electronics supply catalog... it was the "alter"
(not real sure on spelling) and it boasted that the easy to follow, assembly guide
would improve your skill level in reading schematic diagrams and it is a must for
the hobbyist and the professional alike... it was a full page, color add and it never
mentioned the fact that after many, many hours of carefully programing
(turning on and off switches) it would light up that programed sequence with the
LED indicators... needless to say, i was not impressed in the slightest...

anyway, heres some pieces that are really close to my heart...
the first is the last pendent i made on my red max if my foggy
memory serves me... thats the way i remember it anyway...
the second piece is from way back, long before i started glass
work... i was wrapping stones in silver and gold wire to make
pendents... my friend they call "chance" made this because,
i was pissed that people were more concerned with the color
of things (ie, does it match my...???) rather than the quality
or value of the stones themselves he said "check this out"
and handed this to me... intrigued with the fact of choises
in colors and shapes, i was hooked on the idea and i turned
out as many pieces as i could get the glass from him for...
that lasted only a few months and he left for parts and
places west... i was supposed to do the same the following
year but, my dad got sick and needed me to stay... i
searched high and low for someone to supply me with
bits of glass for almost two years till i met a wondering
glass blower and we struck up a friendship... he insisted
on many levels, that i make my own glass... i studied,
listened, watched, helped, fetched, hauled and contributed
as much as i could for 7 months with him and then i
put together my own little setup and worked under his
watchful eye for 4 months... then my dad's condition
and other things caused me to move my setup to my
house where i work today... anyway, thats the story
of how i was thrust into becoming a glass blower by
a single piece of glass, wrapped in 20ga. square silver
wire and accented with 22ga. gold gathers...:dieslaugh

I really like the stemless tube nice design and the colors are GTTlicious good work!
it took me a couple weeks to get used to my delta too and i still cant get my wigs and my wags as tight as i can with the carlisles center fire ( oh i wish gtt torches had a center fire somewhere) but, thats why i keep both torches on quick disonnects ready to swith at a moments notice.

all looks nice. the pendants are sweet, loops look very well made.

about the stemless tho, looks like the weld isn't smooth and done well. looks like I can see a ridge or somethin. u got a closer pic of the weld to see better?

I had an order for a penis pipe from a friends brother-in-law and his lifemate.

Shttrd, your right, it wasn't all that...:o: i wasn't happy with that weld either but,

the girl that asked me to make the piece, had to have it anyway...:pervert:

i need to make several more of them thou,:mj: now that that one has been seen

so, it has worked out... kinda like the oil and glitter filled dilli i made, it has

generated loads of interest...:waiting: once i get them or anything done, i'll

get some pix posted a.s.a.p.
