i think its there so you can throw a "jump ring" on it and wear it on a chain

actually, I found it more easy to make the loop this way. You can add a jump ring or just take a cord, bend it in two, pass through the loop and back between the cord.

it is only disco sparkle, just mixed before aplying, I love it, it looks like silver under sun light.
