What is the difference betweenthe schott, northstar, momkas, and others i've seen that i can't remember?

I'm asking because i want to start using some colors. But before i order some i would like to know what the difference is.

PS. If anyone has a ton of color they dont want anymore and wanna send my way...I'd be happy to buy some.

everybody makes different colors, and similar colors by different companies can be made totally differently. Like lava orange and crayon orange. theyre totally different. Get a glass alchemy sample pack. You really just have to try a whole bunch of colors and see what you like, what works well for you and your torch and blabadibla. The color companies all have different specialties kinda. Like certain types of things they seem to think is their coolest product. You eventually start to see what each company has and then you can pick according to what you want. Take tips from people on good colors before you buy them because going by the little picture on a website is no good. Could be totally different than it seems online.

Yes those are all boro glass color companies, There's also Borostix, Glasshawk (elvis), Glass Alchemy, Glasstronics, and New Color Company (Paramore). Anything that says 33 COE is boro. Most companies offer sample packs I think they're a good way to get started, the majority of the colors you will hear people talking about here are northstar and glass alchemy. You can also get bags of "shorts" from most suppliers that is a big bag of random pieces at a much lower price per pound, like $10 instead of $50. Great way to sample a lot of colors but they're not labeled so figuring out whats what is harder than the sample packs.

Yup, those are each different glass companies. In general they will work together, but that is not always the case.
