All this glass looks like boro and from the way they describe it, "heat-tempered strong in clear chem lab beaker glass", it sure sounds like boro. I think they look too defined to be machine made. Whatcha think? China? India? Czech Rebulic? I dig the candle stick holders, I may order a few for sh*ts and giggles. Maybe try to add some attachments to spice em up... The hour glass is defenitely boro. Matt

it's kinda hard to tell, except for the inline vases, that looks like tubing, and I haven't seen or heard of soft glass tubing like that. but I haven't really looked for soft glass tubing. If I HAD to guess, I would say they were boro.

I think the stuff I bought was probably 24 mm or so. There was a lady on the lampworker etc. website saying that she was the exclusive importer for it. It was really thin walled.....you had to preheat it to get it to the torch, I never got the hang of it. Maybe on a lathe though.

The color looks like paint. The base glass could very well be boro.

Lauscha makes tubing from 4-40mm, if you can handle it! I watched them pull out 150+ ft of rod (by hand) when I visited the factory. It was pretty cool to say the least... About the links I posted, do you think the work is handmade or machinemade??

Noen sign tubing is soft lead glass and is readily available in sizes up to one inch and is fully compatable with kuglar colors. I've used it to make Christmas bulbs for years. It works well and is not nearly as shocky as sodalime glass tubing. Shane Fero and Fred Birkhill use a lot of it. I started using it after taking a workshop with these guys many years ago. -dave

Anyway, I'd say the stuff in the pic is boro.
