thanks, they r hard, but its really not very much flaring for the top, i use a octoganal reamer and or jacks to open it up. cause if its flared to much its hard to drink out of. but its hard for me to fully flare out the foot. whenever u get to that one chris post a pic of it so i can check it out. thanks again guys

when youre flaring its important to keep the outside of the point hot too rather than just shooting the flame into the rim. keeping the whole thing hot allows it to open up as a whole piece instead of just the top lip flaring out. But you have to watch out because if you get the outside a bit hotter than the lip or the lip cools a bit while youre heating the outside, then then body of the bubble will flare out and the lip wont be hot enough to stretch and then all the sudden there is a very deformed and sideways bubble. use a hot bushy flame and run it all over everything while flaring, inside and outside quick back and forth.

This post isnt to you, youre flares look good. Just a bit of flaring sharing

nice job man... i like the feet buy the way... this kind of thing is something
i've never tried myself because my flares are better after i load them up and
close them back up... i guess i just can't get a fast enough spin to let the rotating
force do the work or, i don't buy expansive enough glass for the wall thickness
to be consistent... either way, looks like you are having a lot less of the trouble
that i always run into when flaring...:puzzled:

for the flares what really helped me was watching parramore. use counterweighted puntys. i use a 6 mill punty and i put some 10 mill on the end and a lil 10 mill on the tip. this way when i have my top or foot on the punty. the punty is balanced in your hand. it was a trick that roger showed us and it changed my flares forever. u dont bounce around in the flame as much if everything in your hand is balanced. thanks for lookin everyone. on the next one i might put milkbones on one just for u shttrd. actually do whatever u want with that foot. maybe make a big turd or something for the glass to sit in? i dont know get creative.
