i have been trying to do more detail in my work- getting that super tight flame and attempting to do facial structures, detail on insects and fish- stuff like that...anyhow it seems like when i get in there tight i tend to boil the color. I was wundering what type of adjustments i could make to my flame- less/more oxygen and perhaps actually turning down settings on regs when doing that type of work. So any suggestion or advice would be a grand flush! thanks mun!

small COLD oxidizing flames are a beautiful thing!

make a flame that has alot of oxy and not too much propane so that the oxy cools the flame. if the flame is hot and still boils, you have too much gas making it too hot, so turn down the propane further. I use a gtt, and love cold little oxy flames for drawing with thin ass stringers.

It helps to use the underside of the flame as that is where the temperature gradient is the sharpest.
