ok Folks I'm still here, but the folks up North have NO CLUE! This is total devistation. I-5 had 10 ft of water and me and shopmate couldn't make it to my place the first day and he hasn't made it to his place yet. Me and mine are ok but folks around here have lost everything including the house. There are still several places that are for now islands and folks can't get off without a boat or heli rescue. On a good note, the flood got Wal-mart!!!!

Skimboarding the road again today

Out by me, 45 min E of Seattle there were landslides that blocked roads and flooding in the Carnation, Duvall, and Monroe areas. Many roads are blocked around here and have been for days.
I'm posting a pic of the farm accross the street. Normally it's all field, now it's a foggy lake.

I heard the storm melted all the snow off of Mount Hood..... Talk about adding insult to injury..........

Yeah, no hype man.... but I saw some stuff on CNN that looks like New Orleans all over again. It's not as wide spread of course, but there was a lot of sporadic damage, mostly around smaller towns in mountain valleys it looked like.

I know that field across from Em's place.... it would make a really nice lake, actually.... cows can swim, right? Or did they all die off and rot away?

anyways - for those affected, stay dry - for those that stayed dry, count your blessings.

The field fills up every winter & spring. They are in process of some mitigation banking for wetlands stuff and it's being converted to wetlands so the owner can make other wetlands not wetlands. I hope they tell the water. The farm has been a non functioning farm for about 5 yrs now. Some times the guy rents it out for cows to keep parts of the area agri zoned.
Glad everyone is OK, I'll take a pic in a few days to show the field as a field.
