Lakefront Festival of the Arts - Wisconsin, DEADLINE: Tomorrow, December 13th 2007

Considered one of the nation's premier art festivals, the 46th annual Lakefront Festival of Arts features the jury-selected work of 172 artists from across the country and world. Presented by Friends of Art as a fund raiser for Milwaukee Art Museum, the festival adjoins the museum's spectacular Santiago Calatrava-designed addition on concrete walkways and street ways, all at the museum's front door. Enjoy the festival rain or shine in our state of the art Clearspan tents!

Old Town Art Fair - Illinois, DEADLINE: December 15th, 2007 Jury Fee: $30
Event Dates: June 14-15th, 2008
The Old Town Art Fair, which takes place in the historic landmark district of Chicago’s near north side Old Town Triangle, is considered the oldest outdoor juried art fair in the U.S. It is ranked first in Chicago and the State of Illinois, and 7th in the nation, on The Harris List of the top art and craft shows. Held annually since 1948, the fair always takes place during the second full weekend of June. Each year some 40,000 potential art purchasers attend this premier fine art fair to view and buy two- and three-dimensional work from 260 artists who have been juried into the fair by panels of local art experts. The fair is organized and operated by hundreds of neighborhood volunteers who are dedicated to making this a rewarding and pleasurable experience for both the artists and attendees. Proceeds support the Old Town Triangle Association, which is focused on neighborhood preservation and enhancement and is home to an active art school. In addition the fair suppo! rts the Menomonee Club for Boys and Girls, local schools, and many other worthy community organizations and programs.

4th Avenue Spring Street Fair - Arizona, DEADLINE: December 17th, 2007 Jury Fee: $35
Event Dates: April 4-6th, 2008
The Fourth Avenue Street Fair, Nationally recognized as one of the premier community celebrations in the Southwest, is held biannually in the gorgeous desert of Tucson, Arizona. Explore this thirty seven year old tradition that attracts more that 600,000 visitors each year. Our family event offers a moderate to upscale audience, 57% between the ages of 25-54. We host two street level stages, two children's play areas, a children's hands on art activity area and tantalizing treats from 40+ food concessionaires. As always, admission to the festival is free and open to the public.

New Events

Long's Park Art and Craft Festival 2008 - Pennsylvania, OPENED: December 4th, 2007 Jury Fee: $40
Every Labor Day weekend thousands of customers come to Long's Park to shop for fine arts and crafts. These sophisticated, high income buyers will travel from Philadelphia, Baltimore, across Central Pennsylvania, Washington, DC, New York and beyond. And your sales venue will be so special - an old, tree-lined city park with booths surrounding a tranquil, freshwater lake.
We take great pride in supporting the sales efforts and comfort of our exhibitors by providing an array of unique amenities. Along with extensive advance show advertising, color brochures and mailing support, we also include three catered exhibitor breakfasts and an exhibitor picnic dinner in our booth fee.

Stone Arch Festival of the Arts 2008 - Minnesota, OPENED: December 7th, 2007 Jury Fee: $25
Event Dates: June 14-16th, 2008
The 14th annual Stone Arch Festival of Arts, a Father’s Day weekend tradition, will continue June 14 and 15, 2008 in the Riverfront District of Minneapolis. The Stone Arch Festival of Arts will host over 250 artists and many theater and musical performers. Since 1994, this event has grown to be well respected by artists and enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of Twin Citians. Last year’s attendance was estimated at nearly 80,000 people over the 2 day festival.

Art Fair on the Square - Lake Forest - Illinois, OPENED: December 7th, 2007 Jury Fee: $35
Event Dates: August 31-September 1th, 2008
Please join us for the Deer Path Art League’s 54th annual Art Fair on the Square held in beautiful Lake Forest, Illinois. The community of Lake Forest is located 30 miles north of Chicago. This festival is a highly rated, well-attended event of long standing. Art Fair on the Square is the Art League’s signature event and helps us fulfill our mission to bring high quality visual arts to the community.

Art Fair Jackson Hole 2008 - Wyoming, OPENED: December 10th, 2007 Jury Fee: $35
Event Dates: July 18-August 17th, 2008
Established in 1965, Art Fair Jackson Hole (previously known as the Mountain Artists Rendezvous) brings diverse forms of art to a community that is rich with western history. AFJH is a three-day event that takes place the third weekend of July and August. We pride ourselves in serving you, the artists. We are also working closely with Wyoming Travel and Tourism and the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce to draw upon the million plus tourists that pass through this region every summer. We hope that you will join us in our beautiful mountain town of Jackson Hole. We look forward to receiving your application!

Bartlett Festival of the Arts - Illinois, OPENED: December 10th, 2007 Jury Fee: $15
Event Dates: June 28-29th, 2008
For the past 5 years, Arts in Bartlett, the local arts council in this thriving community 35 miles northwest of Chicago, has presented Bartlett’s only juried fine arts show. Arts in Bartlett, a dynamic all-volunteer 501(c) 3 organization, prides itself on presenting high-quality, yet affordable fine arts and fine crafts in this highly anticipated annual event. It is free and held outdoors in Bartlett Park, a beautiful shaded park with a quaint gazebo, air-conditioned Log Cabin for artist breaks, playground and free parking. Local vendors and restaurants provide a variety of food choices.
In 2008, the goal is to make the event a Festival of the Arts, including not only the visual arts with juried artists, but also music, dance, poetry, story-telling, children’s art activities, drama, and culinary, floral and artist demonstrations, attracting many visitors to enjoy a wide spectrum of the cultural arts. This festival features 125 clay and glass artists, demonstrations and related activities. As a result we get a large focused audience.

Art in the Pearl - Oregon, OPENED: December 15th, 2007 Jury Fee: $30
Event Dates: August 30-September 1st, 2008
The 12th annual Art In The Pearl Fine Arts and Crafts Festival will be held Labor Day weekend in the beautiful and historic North Park Blocks of Portland, Oregon. Considered one of the nation’s premier art festivals, Art In The Pearl features the artwork of 127 artists from across the USA and Canada. The Festival, developed and produced by a dedicated volunteer board, features many attractions: exceptional visual artists, a live World Music Stage, artist demonstrations, an interactive art area for children young and older, and a variety of food choices. Please submit your application and join us for one of the best arts festivals in the country.

The 3rd Annual Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival, is a juried fine art festival featuring 200 National, and regional artists selling their original creations along a 1.25 mile waterway and park. The wonderfully landscaped site with water taxi service along the whole festival makes this a unique event that artists and patrons enjoy. Located 36 miles north of Houston, part of the greater Houston area with over 4 million residents.

Santa Monica Arts Festival - California, DEADLINE: December 10th, 2007 Jury Fee: $10

Come to Santa Monica... Participate in the festival that will be the Los Angeles area's premier contemporary craft and fine art event of 2008. Come to Santa Monica, which is in the heart of one of the highest income regions in Southern California, and is easily accessible from all over the area. Sell your work at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, well known for its top-quality, highly attended events. The majority of our exhibitors sold very well at the first Santa Monica Arts Festival last year, some had record shows. Now we've moved the festival to February to obtain even bigger audiences and sales!

Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts 2008 - Pennsylvania, OPENED: November 28th, 2007 Jury Fee: $30
Event Dates: July 10-13th, 2008
The Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts was founded in 1966 by Penn State University’s College of Arts and Architecture and the State College Chamber of Commerce. Drawing over 125,000 people to State College each summer, the Festival includes, in addition to the nationally recognized Sidewalk Sale and Exhibition, a gallery exhibition, Children and Youth Day, educational opportunities, and music, dance and theatrical performances in a variety of traditional and non-traditional venues.

Mount Gretna Outdoor Art Show 2008 - Pennsylvania, OPENED: November 30th, 2007 Jury Fee: $20

The thirty four annual show will be held "Under the Trees of Old Chautauqua" on August 16 and 17, 2008.
The Pennsylvania Chautauqua sponsors an Art Show, as a community fundraiser, on the third full weekend in August. The Pennsylvania Chautauqua is a non-profit organization established in 1892 for the purpose of "the advancement of literary, scientific, intellectual, physical and social welfare and the promotion of cultural and religious activities, recreation and entertainment�.
Mount Gretna is a small Victorian community founded in the late 1800's as a summer resort. Initially the only way for residents to reach their cottages in the woods was to travel by train. Gretna was a stop along the Cornwall/Lebanon line. Our streets were footpaths until automobiles became the mode of travel. Many of the original cottages surround an open-air playhouse where numerous cultural events are held. Our quaint atmosphere attracts many visitors every summer for music, theater, a visit to the local ice cream shop or just a walk in the woods and, of course, to the Art Show!

Saint Louis Art Fair - Missouri, OPENED: December 1, 2007 Jury Fee: $35

Welcome to the 15th annual Saint Louis Art Fair, a nationally juried fine art and fine craft show. The Saint Louis Art Fair is held in the streets of Clayton, Missouri, one of the nation’s most affluent and prestigious business and residential communities. The Art Fair is consistently ranked one of the nation’s top fine art fairs. Each year the Saint Louis Art Fair attracts over 150,000 art enthusiasts who purchase more than $2 million worth of art at the festival.

Festival of the Arts Laguna Beach 2008 - California, OPENED: December 1, 2007 Jury Fee: $40
Event Dates: July 6 - August 30th, 2008
The Festival of Arts - California's Premier Fine Art Show is scheduled for July 6- August 30, 2008. This regional art show features artists only from southern Orange County California. The jury process is highly competitive. Since 1932, the Festival is one of the most prestigious and well-attended shows in the nation, attracting more than 200,000 people annually, with a stellar reputation as a source for original fine art. It has received worldwide recognition - voted as one of the top ten festivals by American Style Readers two years in a row. The exhibition is presented concurrently with the internationally famous Pageant of the Masters during July and August in Laguna Beach.

Strawberry Days Festival - 111th Annual - Colorado, OPENED: December 3, 2007 Jury Fee: $30

New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival 2008 - Louisiana, DEADLINE: TODAY by Midnight Jury Fee: $30
Event Dates: April 25-May 4th, 2008
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell is a joyous and spirited celebration showcasing the authentic music and heritage of Louisiana and New Orleans. Now presenting its 39th event, the Festival is one of the most prestigious and well-attended in the nation, attracting hundreds of thousands of people annually.
The Festival is owned by The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Foundation, Inc., a Louisiana non-profit corporation organized to preserve and promote the music, arts, culture and heritage indigenous to Louisiana and the New Orleans area. The Louisiana Heritage Fair is a two-weekend event featuring over ten stages of music, plus crafts and traditional food. This outdoor daytime celebration is held on the park-like infield and in the grandstand area of the historic Fair Grounds Race Course. The Crafts Fairs present works by some of Louisiana's and the nation's most talented artisans participating in three tented areas - Contemporary Crafts, Louisiana Marketplace, and Congo Square African Marketplace.
Congo Square: Named in honor of the historic New Orleans landmark and site of the first Jazz Fest in 1970, Congo Square African Marketplace offers festival-goers a unique experience of music, art and cuisine which resonates with the rich African-Caribbean heritage of this region. Artists offer their personal handcrafted contributions to the art of the Diaspora, while Vendors present traditional handcrafted art from the African continent. Featuring a performance stage, food booths, artist demonstrations, a fashion show, and the Congo Square Ancestral Altar, in 2008, the highly competitive juried area will accept 52 Artists and Vendors each weekend.
Contemporary Crafts: The highly competitive juried Contemporary Crafts Fair, located in Heritage Square set amid some of our most dynamic musical tents, will feature up to sixty artists each weekend. Artists exhibit and sell fine art and fine crafts including one-of-a-kind and/or limited edition works.
Louisiana Marketplace: The highly competitive Louisiana Marketplace, located adjacent to the Louisiana Folklife Village, will feature twelve artists each weekend. Louisiana artists will exhibit work incorporating indigenous materials and/or imagery reflective of the state's unique cultural or natural landscape.

Exhibiting artists continue to make the Cherry Creek Arts Festival Colorado’s premier cultural visual arts event.
