hey hey been torchin lots laitly and beel trying to do some hollow curls in the stem or other sections, tried pulling down a section of 50x5 clear and just practicing the curling by hearing and puffing into a ball and tagging and pulling at the same time.

the top part of the curl seems to alwas flatten and i build up a crease and devit on the inside of the curl...

Ok here is what you wanna do.

You want to make your horn shape, then slowly heat up from the tip and use your tweezers to curl it up. If you are familiar with making sherlocks, you know the right temp to make the bend, if you curl it at the right temp it will stay round and there will be no stretch marks.

why not heat it up then tag the side of a small punty and strech and twist, all one motion, at the end melt or snap "punty" rod off and clean ?

Geez Gibsons. Bed time ? but it's only.... Today, 04:20 AM LOL
Getting the heat right is the trick for sure. I also keep the piece pressurized with my blow hose but thats just me.

yea I'd imagine biting down on your hose would help keep it from flattening. I bite my hose when I do my sherlock bends.

you bite down on the blow hose, to make it a closed section? guess i could try sticking a cork int he end, i rarely use my blowhose. mayb it would help in this application.

and im on pacific time, i live in bc, 1:20 am was bedtime

eh, I dunno if a cork would work, I'd imagine it'd take too much time to put it on the tube before you curl it.
