Well, I need more clear glass. I've been using Simax for a while now, and I like it, but I'm thinking about switching to the Schott artistic. I'm currently comparing prices between Generations glass, Glasscraft (local pickup for me) and others. I'll probably need 4 or 5 cases of glass.

How does the Boro Artistic work for goblet cups/feet? I need my clear to be clear, no stones, cords, or out-of-round problems.

Anyone making goblets from the boro artistic? How does it stack up against Simax? I read the discussion on the boro artistic and its weird fuming issues, I'm wondering if these properties affect the way it looks if no fume is applied.

Please reply only if your in the habit of making clear vessels, I know most glass is fine for prodo pipes.

Thanks!

Thats weird, whenever I use the schott for anything fume it grows crystals by itself. Usually at 1050 even.

schott artistic is the way to go. You will notice an immediate difference. I would use a medium or thin wall for the goblets. for my tops I use 44.4 X 3.2. Depending on how thick or thin you want you cup, use a shorter or longer section of the tube, hope this helps. What type of torch do you have?

Yea the medium wall is the way to go.

Ive had maybe like 2 or 3 tubes that seemed to be a little bit off, out of tolerance whatever. But that was only 2 or 3 tubes out of like 5 cases so far. I have a case of 25mm standard that I use for chillys and every single tube is perfect.

Hey guys, I'm not 100% in full gear yet but I am working on being a regional dist. for UST. I have 44 and 50mm std and medium wall tubing in stock and ready to ship in Albuquerque (87107). Hit me up if interested.
