Hi, I haven't posted or had Internet in a while, sorry to bug yall with a question like this, not sure if It should go into a different section. I am going over to London, Brussels, NW Germany, and Amsterdam. Was wondering if anyone could recommend a nice coffee shop with some glass in it. I know that most don't, but I'd really appreciate any recommendations of places to go and see while I'm there. Historical places, shops, tours, and other such places of interest. all suggestions welcome even if its a surrounding town or country. got about 8-9days in the dam and surrounding area, first time I've been over there, so again any suggestions welcome. Thanks again and to all on gldg, merry xmas, happy new year, happy kwanza, happy channukah, or any other holiday that people celebrate.

forever grateful,

be sure to check out the Grey Area in the dam. Heineken museum is always fun too!

The museums in Amsterdam are great - Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum. Take a canal tour through the city. Have some Haagen Daaz ice cream. Don't spend all your time in the coffee shops - there is so much more to amsterdam than herb. And don't get confused between cafe's and coffee shops - cafe's = coffee; coffee shops = herb. If you're looking for a hostel, the Flying Pig is lots o fun.

I didn't see much/any glass when I was there, but that was before I started blowing, so it probably wasn't really on my radar.

have fun, I wish I could get back there soon. Def one of the best experiences of my life.

Be sure to book your stay at the pig early if you plan on staying there too. Mikes bike tours are always a pretty fun way to learn about a city too.

I can second the Van Gogh, a canal tour, and the Flying Pig. Vondel Park is nice. Anywhere in Amsterdam is amazing... There's a bar in Brussels called Delirium Tremens they have something like 3000 beers. Brussels also advertises having the best square in Europe..I was only there for one night, but it was pretty cool. Lot's of outdoor eating even in the cold. London rocks as well. Definitely try to go to the Camden Markets/Locks. Yeah....Europe was definitely a good time in my life.

Van Gogh museum, MJ museum, live sex show, coffee shops (The Noon [blueberry and blueberry hash, yummy] and Grey Area for sure), canals are cool.

Uh, and lets not forget, indulge in some of the finest looking chics on the planet. If you go there and don't get laid you're missing out. If you have a girlie, make sure you bring her along ;-)

If you're in Germany, take a float on the Rhine River....

If you're in Belgium, go to Brugge!!

^^^Yeah The Noon had the best buds and hash over all but I love the blue berry so I'm biased. Its also really close to The Vaundel Park Flying Pig which is really chill. I prefer that area of town since its quieter than down town and closer to the museums. Have fun and be safe.

Amsterdam is the whip - just went to the CannaCup over Thanksgiving.

As far as the coffeeshops go, avoid the "Big Names" ie Barneys and Greenhouse. Nice shops, great decor but the warez suck. However, there is a nice little glass shop about half way to barneys on Haarlemmerstraat that sold me a nice i/o spoon for 5e. Had to work him for a minute, but well worth it.

Check out Resin - they have some really nice NYCD. Tastes / Smells like red grapefruit, I can still taste it! The noon is a nice place. Try the cheese. The blueberry was a disapointment for me. Cheese was really tastey though. Lot's of herbage to choose from all over the city - don't just buy it to buy it, be picky. Lot's of crap around.

The sensi seed shop over in the RLD has some really nice glass on display as does the CannaCollege (both just south of the main RLD on Verbugsomethingstraat). Every tourist trap souvenir shop in town is covered in pipes, wall to wall in some - mostly junk though.

If you want a nice private room at prices that aren't much more than the Flying Pig, check out www.oldquarter.nl Very nice hotel/bar about 3 mins from Centraal Station. I had room 7. Small, but I didn't have to worry about the folks next to me jizzin' on my pillow while I was out getting baked. Right next door to Baba, Hill Street Blues and Concious Dreams in the RLD. Great place to stay, very nice folks.

Have a great trip - I wish I could go back this year! (just not to the cup, I learned my $200 lesson on that waste!)

As in, a waste to spend $200 to be a judge?

Yep, sorry, should have clarified.

They try but it just wasn't really all it was cracked up to be. They bascically lure you to their Expo every day with the hopes of seeing some good shows, seminars or Tommy Chong only to have them up on stage for a few minutes at most. I'm told some get it, some don't. I didn't and niether did anyone else I talked to that week. Should have waited until spring when the city was coming back to life from winter. Would have been a much nicer time. No lines at the budcounter either!

Good time in Amsterdam though, well worth a trip. Lots to do aside from the coffeeshops, just look around and don't be afraid to ask the hotel or even people on the street. Everyone was really cool, never met someone I didn't like. I even liked the street hustler who tried to screw me out of something - he wasn't successful but I told him that I could appreciate his efforts no matter how misguided they might have been. We burned one after that. Ended up being a cool guy, just doing what he needed to do to eat. I'd pray on dumb ass tourists too if I lived there.

Glass in Amsterdam, not really that popular. The seed stores generally have the nicest glass in town. Hempworks (THSeeds) has a really nice selection of glass. Also, Karl T has a studio in the dam, I believe it was called Green Dragon. Most of the "head shops" sell shitty imported glass, not worth your time. For coffee shops, Id hit up Amnesia (the honeybee was reidic) Grey Area, also the Nes Cafe is a cool coffee shop- more like a dive bar. Go to the Cannabis College and ask em who has the nicest product at the moment... Food- try the falaffel at MAOZ, Doner Kebab is awesome. Try and hit up a ricetofpel (Indonesian food).

Outside of the Dam- Colonge, Germany is a really fun town that pretty close to A-Dam. Lots of really cool gothic architecture, museums, etc. Personally, I think A-Dam gets old after a few days and the shrubbery is of better quality in the states. Amsterdam is a big tourist/money trap, kinda like Vegas. If I were you, Id get railpass and jam out of the dam. Like Rex said, make your way down to Lauscha. Youll need to take 3 or 4 trains and spend a day traveling to get there from Amsterdam, but its really, really worth the trip. I posted a while back about specific places to stay/see in Lauscha. Oh, If I were you I would NOT take any goodies with you leaving the dam (esp. going to Germany). I had an not so good experience myself upon arriving in Germany, it involving stripping down and a bend over-cough :whoa: Have fun and be safe....

have fun bro! i was just in A dam a few months ago. If your into botanicals, definately check out the flowermarkt. Its a beautiful city, its should definately be explored on a bike for one day. Just be careful when driving baked...it can be dangerous lol. Also check out wok to walk for some cheap rice/noodle dishes. they have lots of good stuff. oh and Showarma is definately a late night snack that should be had.

hinnaken brewery
VG museum

shops:

rookies, i liked the place, felt like an old pub, plus the shop-keep gave me 3.8grams for the same price as 3 because it was first time in the Dam.

I did go to one of the bull dog's the one that's toward the edge of town in on this circular plaza. (nearish to rookies) i have to say that the coffee there was actually really nice. and it was a treat to sit down with a bunch of other like-minded people.

OOOOH, be sure not to miss the porn that comes on at 11pm on practically every tv station. that's across the board i think for the countries you listed. it's not the best porn, but it's funny that it's on public TV.
