re-sizing pics?

Yeah I think there is a GPL version of GIMP for free, and a mandrake version for $20

GIMP looks like overkill. I want to chop the edges off or resize. I do it with Kuickshow and save the file, and the file I save is still fullsize.
I got my system out of the paper for fifty bucks. Pentium two with not a lot of memory. Had XPpro on it. got a virus or somesuch within a week of getting online. Only have to fix it once with linux.

try to find a button for Resize or Photo , Image or to clip edges is called crop , so find that button and you can crop the edges off .

Mandrake didnt do that, they made there own vrsion of GIMP if you got the $80 version of Mandrake I think it comes with a 30 day trial of gimp... it was wierd.. i hated mandrake...

mandrake 8.1 (or maybe it was 9.1) was the last one i installed.....it still had the real gimp packed with it.....it was an install option, not a default, but then again, so was gnome.

i liked mandrake cause it was easy and i'm lazy.
i'm not exactly up to par on my linux command line manuvering either.....i kinda withdrew from full time computer geekyness when i found glass. since then, learning arcane text commands hasn't really been as appealing.

I'm using version 10.something, and I downloaded all the updates. I still can't post my pictures. The originals are too big and the re-sized ones dwaine did for me are a different format. I am still working on getting more, better, pictures.
