Marcel and Dale S. Workshop in Chicago

Brandon the Lathe guy will be hosting a two day observer only workshop in Chicago March 8 and 9. Tuition will be 500. We will go through the entire process of making a larger headpiece including demonstrating my new cane press. Teamwork will be stressed as well as demonstrating the use of steel punties and blowpipes, the press process, and sculptural applications of flat cane in relation to decorating a larger bub. We're going to rage super hard and let it all hang out, it should be a really good time for people of any skill level. Even if my process isn't for you, most people seem to find that it helps them to see past the "norm" and realize the infinite possibilities of this medium. Each student will receive 1 on 1 time to analyze their process and (if desired) an in depth critique of any work they bring or show in pictures.
