After two years of blowing glass...I finally bought Dunham's Contemporary Lampworking Vol I and II from ABR. It just showed up yesterday, so I'm only 50 or so pages in. The book is incredible. There is so much information. For what it's worth I definitely recommend it.

I realized this info is barely interesting and I probably should have bought this book two years ago, but nobody here (in my normal life) really cares, I just figured I'd share with some people that can appreciate my enjoyment.

yea a staple , every one should run threw it. his other books are nice and im waiting for Vol.!!! to come out.

If you dont have a copy you better pick one up. I need to get another copy come to think of it.

besides the historical chapters on glass , chapter 16 is the best chapt. in the book. When I first heard of secrecy among glass blowers I never understood it and thought it was really childish. Chapter 16 really makes me appreciate it and look at the craft in a new light even as a newcomer to the world or glass blowing.

yeah the book is pretty amazing. I'm reading it straight through and I'm trying my hardest not to peek at the pages ahead. The history was certainly interesting. I'm the setting up a shop chapter. Looking forward to Chapter 16 now. Shouldn't be too long, I bring it with me everywhere.

Nice Matt, I'm glad you finally came around. I still use mine all the time. You know the next volume will be coming out soon I believe.

yea I got this almost 2 years ago when I started blowing, I look at it all the time. It's a great book full of almost every tech I could think of. I should go read some more now, I'm pretty bored =p
