The "Glasstique" program was created and developed by Glass Alchemy, Ltd. to introduce unreleased Boromax® colors. Although successful, the program was usurped at the end of last year and the "Glasstique" name and purpose compromised. While we work on a new way to introduce unreleased colors in the future, we have elected to liquidate our "Glasstique" stock at 40% off per pound.

For the record. The Glasstique name is Glass Alchemy property. Ross from ABR thought it was "clever" to use the name to sell NS products after we spent the time and money developing it. It is violation of Ebay rules and common decency.

NOTE: GA does not sell experimental colors. The glasstique colors that we sell are all first quality (despite some rumors that have been started to the contrary). They are not random colors nor mischarges, they are colors made on purpose.

We started the program to help us decide what colors to release and what colors to make into frit. If a color turns out to be very popular on glasstique we then produce it for distribution through the distributors. So far we have released 2 colors and 3 more are in production for release at the Best Bead Show in Tuscon.

No. They're saying ABR ruined it for the rest of us.

yeah, GA was using the Glasstique name to sell their fun mixes. ABR came in and used the name to flood ebay with NS glass and ruin it for everyone.

So the Glasstique that I bought from Henry's son, is the real thing. But what Ross is selling as "glasstique" is actually NS.

Where, then, is the true Glasstique being sold at this 40% off price? Links please.

thanks for clearing that up i saw some very kewl colors on ebay once that were from Glass Alchemy'
i wanted to get some but next time i looked there was all these different ones so i passed.
looks like ABR likes to steal names or hide them as in the recent oxy concentrator deal
Startin the new year right eh Ross

i personally wouldnt buy anything from ABR especially after these 2 obvious fuckovers -(makes me wonder a while back i read here that a supplyer-selling
goods to artists had also started importing the very pieces the artists make!)
do i dare hazzard a guess who that may be? i never did find out
if anyone cares to tell me drop me a pm please & thank you

Thanks so much for the info Mer. I'll get on the mailing list pronto, and start making some plans.

I noticed on ABR's site, that they are not using the term "glasstique" any more. Maybe Ross is trying to clean up some shit he spilled...

But now that Abe is working at Northstar (right?), are all his Precision colors being labelled under Northstar? I just got a deal on a Northstar rod pack that has all of Abe's Precision colors in it too. Hell of a deal, but confusing when it's time to reorder, if one were to be avoiding any particular sellers.

There is a list of the glasstique color names on the GA site, but no pictures of what any of them look like - anyone know where to find pics of any of these colors?

beachglass
02-03-2008, 03:05 PM
ya the precision colours are all listed NS now...they are all up in the 100's i believe.

its pretty bad if someone swiped GA's glasstique name, but why would that be cause for them to shut the whole program down? from what i gather it was pretty popular...you would figure a good old cease and desist would have done the trick

beachglass

unless they didnt copyright it...in which case: "derrrr"

ABR sucks. Yes they were the ones bringing in the cheap imports IIRC, a total fuck you move towards the artists they were also making money off of selling supplies.

Everything ABR sells is available elsewhere, avoid this company. Ross seems to make it a personal point of pride to shit in his bed as often as possible (metaphor)

Yeah, there are sample paddles and some pics of people's work with the Glasstique colors... let's see, try this: http://www.glassalchemyarts.com/community/glasstique/frameg.html

Not pics of the rods, but finished work.

Thanks much, I didn't see those. It doesn't show all the colors but at least it gives and idea about some of them. That black pearl looks sweet, too bad its already sold out. Hope it comes back. Would have liked to see the passion extreme and black ruby, guess they're sold out too? :bummed: Oh well.

I thought I saw somewhere that they graduated the Black Pearl into their regular line of colors. I couldn't find it on their web site, but it does say they're about to introduce three new colors to the Boromax line - I believe all three of these are from the Glasstique line.

I just found it. Black pearl is in the 900 Neutrals category of their Boromax line.

The point of the sale is to get our shelves cleared off to make room for more glass... this includes colors that are not a part of the permanent line. In other words.... Glass Alchemy will continue to make colors you have never seen before and you will still be able to get ahold of them (and certainly not at $25 a rod... who was the seller and what color was that by the way?) but Glasstique will now longer be the way to do it. Join the mailing list and you will be kept up to speed as to our new approach for testing the market for colors.

08 will be an exciting year for colored boro.... opaque purple is on the way.

by the way.... ivory blush and peach blush are awesome.... they are like an opaque tequila sunrise.... a striking flesh tone.

UmaJulz

Mmmm, a striking flesh tone! or is that a flesh tone that strikes?

Thomas Grimmett

its starts off beige, to pinkish, to a rosy peach color... so a flesh tone that strikes
