OK,so I know that I'm still a noob here & I'm not trying to start any drama or be hated on,but after reading the WIKI recently,I have to get this off my chest. I know Bob Marley's daughter Makeda,she has a child with my good friend back in West Chester,PA & we used to kick it before I moved. She was showing me some pictures of her family one day & there was one picture of Bob holding her as a new-born baby just before he passed away & he WAS wearing a Nomad t-shirt!!!!!!!!! Even as an avid reggae fan I didn't realize who Nomad was until I became interested in art glass,then I found out he was the MAN who pioneered the whole modern day art glass stylee,I mean fuming,all the new reversal patterns,stick-stacks,honeycombs,triple mocha-chocka latte bubblers ,he even helped to invent 98% of the colors we use today,which you all know. Well I have since done some further research & it turns out that when Peter Tosh split from the wailers he met up with nomad in NYC & nomad wrote all of TOsh's material from there on out & later wen't on to become the lead singer for Steel Pulse (see,didn't you always like steel pulse,but never knew who the singer was,now you know!). NOmad has always been behind the scenes in reggae though & was a regular at Studio1 & is really the mind behind these great rhythyms,he just told SLy & RObbie what to play & they listened! So you can see that Bob wasn't wearing the Nomad shirt for nothing! Bob was so influenced by nomad's style that as soon as he got the chance to meet him, he met up with him in NYC & they co-wrote the tracks for 'Uprising','Natty Dread' & 'Confrontation' all in one session after they smoked nomad's homegrown headdies for 10hrs. straight out of a custom,34 section, triple blown, nomad, double straw chalice..It turns out that nomad also started the back to Africa movement & the United negro college fund,Marcus Garvey just took them over in later years.
Now for the mysticism (this gives me goosebumps!) It is said that if you spell nomad backwards & divde it by .0004865899 it spells Mt Zion! And it is no mistake that Nomad is so rasta,it is FATE! Selassie prophesised the coming of a nomad & proclaimed he shall be 'king of honkey dreads' & 'conquering lion of the tribe of white kids' & 'all women shall do his bidings', he said that the prophet nomad & his brother Sinbad shall be the greatest 3rd world Jamaican glassblowers the world will ever know:chilling:

You guys don't believe it,well,whatever LOL. I know it's pretty dumb,but hey I amuse myself at least & I couldn't help it after reading some of the nomad threads,what an asswipe. I'm not a good glassblower or anything so I feel a little out of place rippin' on the dude,but I was bored & couldn't help it.My friend Pat seriously has a child,Kai, with Bob's daughter & last child Makeda though,that is true,she grew up in the same area I did & her Mom(originally from the carribean) worked for TuffGong.Bob & his mother Cedella lived in Wilmington,DE for a few years as well.
