Problems with "New Posts"

I just realized since I have been using the "new posts" link in the menu bar for the last month or so I have missed quite a bit of posts. Doing some searching on the forum today I found all kinds of threads that I missed that didn't show up via that method.
I use multiple computers to access the forum but always click on "new posts" to make sure nothing has popped up while I have been reading then close the forum. Is it something on my end I can do or is it a problem with the forum itself? Should I log out instead of just closing the browser? There are least a dozen for sale threads I have missed out in this last month alone. Let me know.

just show all threads....? the new ones appear in bold anyways, and you don't miss anything.

No so true, e. If I am in the "Ladies room" first, and then go to "glass discussion" all the threads show as having been read. No bold, no cute little arrow to take you to where you left off in the thread. Happens all the time, and it's a bummer, cuz I miss a lot that way too.

I have looked all over preferences, User CP, etc. to see if there is something I have missed, but I can't find it. It only happens here, not on LE which uses the same software.

Anyone else have any ideas how to keep this from happening? Prima?

yeah if its not recongnizing it in the search as a new post it probably won't show it in bold either. Allthough I haven't tried it since I just realized it was happening today.
