I didn't post in the "Swap challenge" thread cuz I wasn't planning on signing up.
Trades are nice & all.. But I like the idea of posting pics, plain & simple. Of course, everyone would be on the honor code (as far as the designated amount of glass used). I, for 1, wouldn't feel as self-concious as if I'd given someone else (especially of a higher caliber) my glass.. Haha, they'd probably melt that sht into stringers.
Oh, & this is not a sign-up thread, just my $.02.

I used to feel the same way. I once got into a swap and being a beginner (I let everyone know it) asked if it was ok to join. I was accepted to my surprise. I spent over 1 1/2 hours at the torch on one marble I had been dreaming about for a week. In my eyes, it turned out perfect. I just knew it would be accepted by whomever got it in the swap.
Man was i wrong! The receiver made fun of me by posting his work next to mine. At first I was devastated. When others in the swap saw that person's post, they email me NOT be accept his criticism and they actually wanted my marble! They told me for a beginner, it was a perfect marble that showed my progress on a long journey. Also, they wanted it as some of my first work.
These positive people with their positive comments made all the difference in the world to me. One man's ceiling is another man's floor so to speak.
Anyhow, not to worry if you think your work is inferior to others. So what if they melt your stuff into stringers, they'd make great petals I bet!

I see, like a rookie card.

I hope they'd give me credit for the collab! :twitch::D
Thanks for your perspective, Santa.
