it takes a LOT to run your own servers. and the amount of info on those sites is staggering.

im a free memeber, so i cant complain.
it happens so often i wonder if its my own computer or the site.

not your computer, down on a daily. this is very frustating almost makes me want to pay to have my own page where potential costomers can view my work any time. there are other ways to post for the public to view for free( myspace ) but gp .org kinda caters to what I do, And I love to look at everyone elses tight pics man someone needs to help this guy fix it. when it works witch is rareley it works really good fast I just start to think maybe I will contibute by upgrading then it crashes and I think f@#$ that sh@#

I never understood running that kind of equipment on your own; there's enough shit to have go wrong without having to worry about bandwidth and hardware (and I'm sure he worries plenty about both). The entire hosting industry is built on overselling, and I can't see it being that hard to find a decent place with good hardware and an insanely fat pipe for not a lot of dough. The web hosts know that 99% of their users use 1% of the plans they sell them. The 1% of the users who use 50% of the capacity are a necessary evil, and they deal with it.
