Any suggestions on where to purchase 33 coe cullet? Its seems to be getting hard for us to get our raw glass.

Just an odd thought : I remember someone saying NOT to put scrap and trash in the recycle . They were wondering how to get rid of it or whatever . Could a recycling program produce cullet (provided it was clear scrap ) ? If so what about starting 1 up , hell it may even be a cheap route and could then overall lower the end price or become a member type gig and receive a discount (for those who would participate in the recycle program) . Would maybe even help the environment out a little .

One thing though the cost of getting all the scrap to one location would prolly outway any profitable way to do it.

What happened to kimble? I was to understand they had mountains of cullet for sale. Did someone corner the market?

Even if that dried up I would guess some of the import would be a viable option. Have you contacted Bomex?

You would have to think with all of the color companies there is only so much cullet available! I do remember Kimble having mountains of cullet when I toured the facility a few years ago, I would call the manufacturers and ask around, maybe offer more $, that usually works!

winship has at least a ton of clean scrap and cullet. It's not on the website, but if you give a call {(877) 893-9387} and ask Deb or Ariel or me about the crate of scrap sitting on top of the container out there in the parking lot, we can probably answer some of your questions. Shipping would be expensive though. You should contact Pegasus (http://www.pegasus-glass.com/)...they've also got mountains of clean boro and a helluva lot closer to Michigan.
