well our power went off last night and i had an idea!!!

with some tweeking im gonna like these ones

i started making the loop on top the same direction as the pendant then giving a twist or 2 so it hangs on the cord properly
i stopped :o: and make the loop the right way lol just looked messy the other way
these kinda resemble a starry night
once i get them a bit cleaner what kinda price would pendants like these sell for
any input appreciated they are pretty kewl looking

The colouring on your pipe is fucking sharp, you've used the colours to good effect.

But your bails need some practice, you know that right. Took me a lot of watching Jim Smircich dvd's and practice to get it down. What saved me time and materials was just practicing making bails on some clear rod.

Not just over and over again but practicing doing a good one, melt it way down again then pulling it back into shape again. It's good practice for when the bail fucks up and you have to either rescue it or tear it off and nail another one in it's place :-)

You could even rescue these ones, warm them up, punty up then rework the bails and I mean that in the nicest possible way okay.

heya thanks Swampy yeah i know the bails suck lol
the twist idea is scrapped and i have been basically adding a blob melting it on and squashing it with plyers then just poking a hole with the rake and making it smooth
those ones are much better but a bit large -only good thing is it will fit a variety of chains , cords without any trouble.

im really happy as well with the first flame pipe :) of course ill get it way better with practice and tweeking the colors etc not to mention this one cracked all to hell -every time i add a milli and build a magnifier it seems its now uneven and cracks :(

They don't suck they just ain't right. I tried the make a bead 'n weld (TM) also melt on a blob and mash 'n poke (TM) and I reckon it's those techs that suck.

Because neither has a through and through weld and poking always leaves crap in the hole, I never can get it clean and nice but that's my lack of skills doing that tech.

If you can get to see the Smircich dvd that is the best way to do a bail, it's off Smircich makes beads Vol 2.

Hope I can make myself understood with;
-punty up to base of disk/pendant
-weld 8 or 10mm rod to the top
-melt it in
-let it cool a bit
-pull away from you
-pull around to make the loop
-touch it to the back
-melt it in, marver

Then you can play around with it; use your pointy marver to pull out the hole, melt it down nearly closed then open it again, dangle the bail in the flame, point it up and let it cave in a bit.

It's surprising how long you can keep that going without it collapsing completely. Of course if it does, you're fucked, so just melt it off and do another one.

funny there is 2 blacks in there i pulled a bunch of stringers and just grabbed black
one is a green black from NS Shorts -its not as black as the bowl area
it is Momka Black rose and i like this black best so far
what is the easiest to use real black black?

no i didnt make the milli its from my favorite ebay milli folks!

for highlights im also going to reverse themyellow first then red

the only opaque orange /yellow i have :)
its very nice glass ! it pulled out nice into stringers and worked well
i got it a bit too hot a couple times but it still looks good !

I have tried the black Elvis and I like that very much.
