Fillacellos imploded or straight disc flip is the question . Which gives the best "view"...heres some samples i did today. (Oh ya first day since my accident so "the flow wasnt quite ON" ) if ya know what I mean...

But the question is to get the BEST / tightest view is it better to implode them or not ? personally the last one shown was imploded and it looks awesome in the hand when you see how much the color was moved.....

this is just a ratti which is one of my fav's..but it shows the depth way more and makes it even more unique.

like it has more depth, is that what you mean?

exactly..but in doing so i think im losing some of the "crispness" of the pattern. Hence asking for everyone opinion...

how are you doin em, tube i take it? I think you might want to try some non-crayon colors, they are bleeding bad in the pics you posted. You are deffinately on the right track as far as technique just need to clean up the design. I would try slightly thicker stringers, and using more tube, there are some tricks to getting the implosion just right, so you dont get the center super high while the sides are barely imploded like your second set of pics. Not sure if it's legit to disclose said info though, might piss some people off. Personally me and a budy of mine figured this technique out in two days, but it took a lot of playing around to figure out the best order of opperations.

Not that I've done it successfully yet, but a reliable source tells me to draw in the fill part with itsy bitsy stringers in a spiral pattern, then puff the whole thing out to kind of blur the spiral together, then when you flip the thing your "fill" parts are pretty uniform and not imploded more than the retti........ don't know if thtat helps or n ot.......

oh....... and disc flip is the way to go almost always, unless your really trying to bang some out..... standard wall rocks the house for this tech too........ I've stopped spinning my lines and started just drawing my stringers on in even spirals, so my points stay nice and clean.
