I just wanted to write up a quick thanks to a few people. It was one year ago yesterday that I won the Revere Scholarship. I'm posting today, because it was one year ago today that I remembered to check the board and actually found out that I won.

I want to let people in this community know that I have not forgotten the investment they have made in me. I'm not quite there yet, but I'm finding myself closer and closer to being able to pay it back. My little glass blowing studio, Sand & Fire is inching it's way towards becoming a self supporting business.

So thank you Rita and Dustin for running Revere and allowing me the opportunity to come out to Berkeley and receive my first bit of formal education. That class made my talent and understanding of glass jump drastically and has set me on an amazing path towards where I want to be with my glass. I'm still trying to save for the Banjo in Amsterdam class if that's still open.

Secondly, Misha and Matt. I belong to a couple of glass forums, but I must admit this is the only one I check regularly. It has been another amazing tool in my glass blowing. A year after connecting with Revere, I still am using this site to meet people. I've been talking to a lot of MA blowers recently. I expect this summer to be an equally amazing adventure in my glass journey. I've already begun to make plans to meet and learn from a few local people from this board.
Also i look forward to getting to know many of you at AGI.

Also thanks again to Marbleslinger for the amazing education. I've been slowly getting better at each of the techniques you showed the class. And of course thanks to the people that let me stay along the road to Berkeley.

This glassblowing community has been very welcoming, friendly, and supportive to me personally. I owe all you guys a great deal. From those that have taught me directly to those of you that have posted amazing tutorials around the web. The best I'm able to do right now is pay it forward to blowers with even less experience than me and I've been trying to do that.

However, I want people to rest assured, as I gain more talent and confidence in my work. I will pay back to this community with as much faith and kindness as it has shown me. Dustin I've sent you one piece of work, but as I improve so will my donations. I'm still learning from the notes I took in that class. I will do my absolute best to continue to support the scholarship program and Revere Glass in general.

PHEW! Sorry this is long and kinda gushy, but I owe people so much and just wanted to say thanks and let people know I have not forgotten them. Apparently, I can't just say a few words about anything.

Well said Matt. Glad I got the chance to meet you and talk over a few things in Berkeley. I liked your work when I saw it there, it must be off the hook now!!
Props to Revere Glass for all they do.
