it takes some serious improvisation but if you got the itch like I had the itch, try flipping the hand that's busted and use it back wards (Like palm up instead of down ) it's a little akward at first but provides amazing make shift balance and stability
here are a few ideas;
-if it's just a couple days you could make yourself busy cleaning the shop. most shops that i've been in could use a deep clean.
-draw pictures of ideas for future pieces.
-research ideas on the board or over on GP.
-create a filing system for your receipts w/e so that it'll be easy for you next year at tax time.
-clean the shit out of your torch.
-kilnwash the floor of your kiln.
-go for some nature hikes to find inspiration.
-mostly, just KEEP IT CLEAN, don't let impatience turn it into a longer heal then it needs to be.
take care, m

About a year ago, I got the opportunity to play with some fused glass, thanks to the 9 stitches in two of my fingers on my right hand. I took about 4 days off the torch. You gotta give it a little time to heal, or you risk damaging it permanently. Best of luck to you!
