why can't i delete my posts?

a lot of forums only allow for moderator deletion. Some allow you to delete a thread if no one has posted in it yet. This one only allows moderators/staff to delete and lock posts/threads except in the classified section which users can lock.
Users deleting posts can cause a lot of confusion in a forum.

i think you can delete posts in the classifieds, certainly close them.
