Could someone point me in the right direction here. I would like to know a good program for like 1" marbles, medium spoons, and just a little of this and that. I have not even programmed this kiln yet, it is fresh out the box. Thanks, I have been looking for links but nothing great that I could find. Peace , oh yeah it has got the sentry on it

Ramp to 999 for fastest heat, 1000 hold for your next period of "work " time ( mines 3 hours), ramp to 1125 for striking 30 mins, back to 1050 for 1 hour , down to 950 for 40 mins then 750 for 20 mins then off.....
There's a formula out there for proper annealing, it depends on the thickest area of the thickest piece your annealing.
That being said, I doubt most people properly anneal big marbles, as they require a long annealing schedule. Borosilicate is much more forgiving of short annealing cycle then other glasses. if you make a lot of thick items mixed in with thinner ones, you can wait till you have a full load of thick stuff and then batch anneal it all over a few days. This would be the most efficient way to do it IMO. Like I said though, I doubt alot of 3 inch marbles are getting the full annealing treatment and most of them survive fine.

His seems to be basing it on prodo NOT 3" mibs...hence my post for some janky first timers shizzle

Check out eyecandyarts for a "proper" annealing cycle if you really want to get it right from the get go.....

ramp for medium spoons? Set the kiln at 1030-1060 put all your shit in it and at the end of the day turn it off. Same for small paperweights, mibs and pendants. At least in my kiln I set the schedule based on 1" marbles and my kiln still cools slower then the ramping schedule on its own.
I'd set the program for really big stuff like 2 to 3" marbles. Or just set it at a degrees per minute ramp down so you can start the program at any temp and it will slow cool it for you.
