OMG! OMG! OMG!......
lol...
These things happen!
Just wanted to start a "drama" thread that's actually good....
So my relay went out on my LGW Antares on Sunday, a new relay is being shipped (today I hope) and Marcel did a great job stepping in and taking care of bidness.
I could see someone else turning this into some huge dramatic event, but really this is what you get when you deal with high power levels in small sensitive packages. I suspect a loose wire or faulty relay was at fault, but whatever it is, it's dealt with timely and professionally.
So anyways, thanks Marcel, lovin' the kiln so far. If you're interested I'm happy to share notes on relay designs for future versions. the Cii SCR relays are good, but I'd look at Omron and Crydom as well. Crydom has a cool one w/ built in fail-safes for thermal applications (it's like they had you in mind)
Once I get some new magic smoke to put in this relay I'll be set.
