So I have a little 84bd with a fuji pxr3 controller that I use when I go do demo's. It was the kiln I started on and I haven't wanted to get rid of it, because it has been nice to be able to take it places when I demo. The only problem is that it is a pain in the ass to travel with and I hate dealing with top loaders when I'm making goblets or things like that.

So, do you guys have a any ideas about a cool set-up that is easy to travel with and set-up but is still big enough for a couple of goblets? It shouldn't cost more that an 84bd with the pxr3, because I would want to sell that to get the new one.

I think I remember a kiln with a handle on it for easy packing around, but I don't know anything else about it.

thanks guys

The Jen-Ken Chili Pepper is built into a medium sized tool box, is that the one you're thinkin' of?

I googled it, but came up with old threads in lampwork Etc.

Good luck.

Maybe batch anneal after the show is over? I know of a few guys that just use fiber blankets till they get back to the shop.

The chili pepper is a compact kiln tho, it should fit a few goblets laying flat inside.

I usually just flame anneal everything when doing demos, then bring it back to the shop and anneal. It limits what you can do as far as marbles and thick stems, but helps to show people some of the unique qualities of the material and how we work with it.
