Gahh, this has been bugging me for so long, everytime I log into the board, if I don't keep myself active, such as by clicking links or options, then I am auto logged out after about 10 mins. Normally this is not a big deal, but some of my posts or pms take over 10 mins to type as they are either long, or I stop and come back to them, and it really sucks when I lose a post I have been typing, because I have to go back and log in.

I've tried that, still times out... does that check box depend on a cookie or something, because I regularly clear out my private data on firefox.

yes it is a cookie setting.

How do you fix the cookie setting?

I fixed it myself, I do have to click the "remember me" button when I log in, but because I clearn my private data daily, which includes all cookies, then each time I log in, I have to remember to click that button and it keeps me logged in until I clear my cookies, so its all good.

So how do I go about clearing all of my cookies?

I have the same problem. Every 10 minutes I get kicked out.

you dont need to clear your cookies, unless your hiding your porn browsing history (which is why I do it)....

If you click on the little box when you log in that says "remember me" or "keep me logged in" (I forget which it is), then it will always keep you logged in, it won't time out. However if you then clear your cookies, you will need to log in again after logging out.

Clicking that little box does not work.

i only get bounced when i don't click the box. i'm curious to know though, this question comes up a couple times a year.

i may be wrong seadal (it happens) but i think that you need to have cookies enabled. i just know that when i log out it says "all cookies cleared" which means i must have them enabled. mac has kept me from having to know this stuff.

prima?

enable cookies, somewhere there is the function you turned off, hopefully a computer master will tell you where

What browser are you using?

Dunno what to say, it works for me and actually the cookie feature is how it works for all websites that remember to keep you logged in....

So most likely you have cookies turned off in your browser, so even though you check the box, it doesn't register. Go to your preferences or options. If your using IE or Firefox (and a PC), I can probably tell you exactly where to look.

Unless you've told your browser to deny cookies, chances are that they're enabled. Every now and again, though, sometimes you'll get booted for no good reason. What can I say? Goblins, most likely. Sometimes it's Gnomes. Either way, the only protection is Faerie dust, and that stuff is just wickedly expensive.
