I haven’t been checking the forum too much lately as there has been a lot of stuff going on around here… not to mention that being on the computer makes me feel SOOOO unproductive when I have a million things to do.
Anyway, I’m sure I’ve missed some questions posted randomly in other threads. Feel free to post them here and I’ll check in when I can and answer them.

I am bringing my Mirage and tools this year and have built a special container to ship it in. Is it OK to ship it to you a week or so early? Box will be 12" x 18" x 24" and weigh apx. 30 to 35 lbs. Which shipper do you reccommend for your area; FedEx , UPS, or ??? and what address? Gettin close!

I wish I could go, but your border guards would not let someone with dreadlocks past his ass and a criminal record for possesion of LSD into your country.
You should have a pitchfork fondue.

Cheng- Feel free to ship anything you want here before the show (no matter when it is). It will be waiting for you in a secure area, and we are also fully insured if anything catastrophic happens (such as a fire) before you get it.
Our address is:
The Glass Blowing Center
114 Leonard Road
Hilliards, PA 16040
(724) 791-2100
Janky- Come on down bro. You can start all the shit you want... this year our staff members are armed with tranquilizer dart guns for people with problems such as yours.
They’re meant for large creatures such as bears or rhinos, so we’ll probably have to hit you up twice :rollin
Brian, sorry to hear that bro. Pitchfork fondue? How about we just roast some hot dogs Looie style (on a glass rod with a Cobra!)

Spouses on Saturday night?
Just wondering since it's only a 4 hour or so drive- he could probably make it, and is a pretty easy going guy to hang with. *wink*

I have a barracuda I want to sell and was thinking I might bring it to AGI for people to use and maybe someone would want to buy it. Is that allowed?

Momka Peeva would like to send a big bunch of sample packs for everyone to use. I don't know how many and wont get to talk to her until she returns from Eurpe next week. Ok to have them forwarded to your address under my name? I might convince her to send a bunch of her mixed short pieces packs also.

PJ- Please have Momka call me as soon as possible… I need to speak to her before she sends anything out. Thanks!
Jane- Feel free to bring your torch to sell if you’re looking to sell it.
Julz- Your hubby can drop by for the party on Saturday night : )
We’ll see all of you real soon… Tom

Most likely.
Mr. Wonka
07-26-2008, 11:18 AM
We’ve never had a wheelchair accessible port o john, but I can ask if they have one.
Just for the record, our facility is all limestone / gravel in between buildings and isn’t exactly easy to navigate with a wheelchair.

I've got tractor tires for my walker, so I'm all set! :D It's an all terrain vehicle now.

Currently without a knee. I have a cement space with @20 degree angle in its place. If I am able to rent a scooter can I have it delivered and picked up from the Center? If so, I will also pay for use of electric to charge the chair daily.
Mr. Wonka
07-27-2008, 01:31 PM
Jazze- None of the buildings have any ramps, and the property has a lot of inclines covered in gravel. Please give Elaine a call when you get a chance for specific details and to make sure this will work out for you.
Thanks a bunch… Tom

I might be able to procure a scooter that is more all-terrain friendly. I have access to two, but they haven't been used in years. Also might do the golf cart which is def. all terrain, and fun too!

Julz that would be wonderful!! I finally located a place for a golf cart but it is way too expensive. Keep me posted. Going to glass camp is the one thing that has kept my sanity

I'm NOT bringing a generator too Douge. It's too f'g heavy and loud, but it would power more than just a scooter or two.
My golf cart is gas, so no charging. :D
Jazze, if you want, you can use the golf cart, if it fits in my trailer. But I am bringing a walker too- it is much easier to use on rough terrain, and it comes with its own seat- perfect for parties!
And I know all about keeping the sanity. I am having my hip replaced 3 days after AGI. So, needless to say, AGI is a must do event!

Julz, I have to hop along with a walker. I can only toe touch with my left leg. I have surgical grade cement with antibiotics instead of a knee at this time. I planned on bringing both my walker and wheelchair for once I am in a building... I am most grateful for your offer if the golf cart does not fit how about one of the scooters? I can pay Tom and Elaine for use of electric to charge the scooter daily. I just need to be certain that one or the other will definately be there. I do not know how much more trauma this old bod can sustain. I have had several surgeries on this left knee over the past three years. If I do not see ya this year good luck on your hip surgery. Thanks

07-31-2008, 11:43 AM
Awe man, that's too bad. But dealing with joint issues, especially if you're on antibiotics with it, may be good reason to postpone the fun.
I have recently been told I may need another surgery before my hip, and it may interfere with my travel plans. I would be supremely bummed, but if that is what I have to do, that is what I have to do. Choose Life over Pain. *rolleyes*
Next year for sure Jazze.

Jazze- We’ll see you next year, and I hope you heal quick.
Julz- Please call or e-mail me as soon as you can. If you’re staying at the “private campground” we’ll have to order an extra port-o-john.
PJ- Thanks a bunch. I'll let you know if I hear from her.
Brian- your girl hasn’t gained a pound, and I’m sure she would settle for a cardboard cutout of you. If it’s a bathing suit pic, please don’t wear a Speedo : )
We’re just about ready for you, and we’ll see all of you in a couple of weeks!!!!!!!
Tom
P.S.- Don has a generator at his place now, but I don't know how accessible it will be to the camp sites.

Yes, Sunday is just a day to hang out, set up, and get to know your surroundings... as well as chill with whoever is here.
Monday is a pretty chill day as well, and things don't kick off until 4 or 5 pm.
Jane- what do you mean that you'll try to make it? You already have your ticket... has anything changed?

Bear, will you be bringing the large tube for sausage? I have a 130x2 I could try to bring if needed.

I will if Tom can't get the tube back from last year. He gave it to one of the guys that cooked at the pig roast. Call Tom and see what's the story.
We might be out of luck I don't know if I have another tube it's to late to order one now. I might have something that we can use.
