I know it's not on the official list for some reason, but tom assures me it's still on.

I'll be doing a seminar at AGI showing how to digitally touch up your photos.

If you would like to bring along some images in a digital format (CD or USB drive) i'd be more than happy to show you how it's done on images of your own work.

A little bit a bout me:

I've been a professional digital artist for the last 12 years. I've worked on portraits of CEO's and other high end fortune 500 clients. It was my job to make them look the best they could possibly look. I have wanted to give back to the community that has helped me realize one of my greatest artistic callings, and because i'm not the most skilled lampworker i thought that this would be a good start.

the seminar will include:

• Easy photo booth setup
• Clarification between photo editing / photo manipulation.
• What makes a good photo
• Why editing a photo is not lying about your work
• Using a real photograph to show the following:

o brightness/ contrast
o color levels
o color balancing
o using layers to balance color
o fixing blemishes in environment
o removing dust and debris from piece
o sharpening edges
o softening backgrounds
• Use of simple, handy Photoshop tools
• Some extras that would be cool:

o have people bring in their own photos to get touched up so they can see the work done on something they understand
o Removing all spectral highlight – so you can see into paperweights/marbles.
• Free programs you can download if you don't have Photoshop (that are almost as good)
• Many other things you never thought possible with your photos.

so anyhow, bring along your images, and digital camera's, and we'll shoot some of the work you bring along, or make that week. It'll be fun, and i promise it's much easier than you think.

I would take this class if I were gonna be at AGI. I already have Andrew do the touch up on my pics and the difference from before to after is amazing. The better pics really help with sales and getting into shows.
