Kiln fuji controller reading UUUU.

Hey all, I'm pretty much retarded when it comes to the kiln controller. It's been reading UUUU when turning it on and will also read the same after just running the cycle. This causes the kiln to not heat up. My temporary solution has been to turn it off and back on many times until a temp starts to read. I know this will only keep happening and I'll be left without use of my kiln on a future date. Can't find the instruction manual, but not sure it would help as I become illiterate when I try and read it. Any help out there? Thanks ahead of time.

Not sure what controller message is saying, but you can probably find manual for FUJI controller online....

You have a bad thermocouple. Replace it and all should be well.

Mike is correct it is the thermocouple. I doubt the thermocouple is bad though. Type K will last a lifetime if it's not over heated. Check the thermocouple connections on the back of the controller then check the end of the thermocouple. If the end of the thermocouple is broken twist the ends back together then with your hand torch melt the tip back into a ball. The thermocouple may have a weather head or junction where they use a heavier gauge wire for the tip check those connections also.
