I'm looking for 1" hvy tubing and it seems like everyone's out? anyone have some they want to get rid of or know of obscure distributors that carry it? i need a little to get me through an order

so this isn't a blatant classified ad, here's a random tip:

cut the fingers off your old kevlar gloves that have holes in them. slide cut fingers over el cheapo BBQ tongs. fasten down with sheet metal screws (one for each tong side) starting on the inside of tongs. when then screw pops out the other side, cut part of it off and hammer down the rest. voila, perfect kiln tongs. you'll love them!

AFAIK the red isn't being made in China.

some people have a case or 2 around. Winship had some last I looked (months ago)

I asked my supplier and he said it ruins their tanks to batch red?

Whatever reason there's none of it available to me from China.

Check winship like he said. I was checking their site the other day and they had diffrent sizes of re ion-x tubing, might have been under their discontinued items.

Winship only has the larger sizes.

We figured out something the Chinese red works well for, too...that was a couple years ago. About a year (?) ago, I noticed the 25mm was disappearing, and found out it wasn't coming in to the U.S. anymore...Also heard that it was available in large special orders, like Doug was saying.

Anyway, since then I've been able to scrounge some up here and there, but can't seem to find 25mm or 32mm anymore. I've got about 2 1/2 sticks of the 25mm left, but it will be gone in less than 2 weeks and I need more, so I'll be on the lookout.

I'll let you know if I find anything.

red is around 4-5 bucks a kg in china unless there have been increases since i checked
