Last year, I kept a list in my notebook of things to take the next time that I didn't last year. Hopefully it will help someone :)
Rubber mats to stand on
Enough clear & color to get through day 1 (the store didn't open until day 2)
Camera, tripod
Audio recorder
Cushions for metal folding chairs
Ice chest
Tall stool if you want to sit down and work
Marble molds
As many oxy/propane Y connects as you can beg, borrow or steal
Large water bottle
Windbreaker (it was freaking cold the first few days)
Extra shirts for NewMexicoMagma for when his luggage gets lost
Mike Glass

Don't forget a extra pair of shoes!
The grass is really wet in the mornings and there's nothing worst then wet feet all day!

Lloyd, that’s a great list you put together…. Thanks a bunch.
Torch, regulators, hoses, and tools if you plan on working. We have manifolds under the bench where you can connect regulators to. Extra regs, “y” splitters and hoses would be appreciated, since all of ours are used on the gas tanks and we don’t have xtras to loan out.
Janky- what the hell do you need condoms for? You couldn't get laid in a whore house with a fist full of fifties and a tear in your eye!

Mmmm, chocolate. Yep, that is essential at AGI!
And tunes- gotta have tunes, so I am making sure that that'll be covered for whatever building I end up in.
Also, a rolling chair is a bit better than a stool, but if a stool is all you've got, bring it.
Fly spray- got to remember to bring my 'premise spray' for Tom. It'll take care of the buggy bugs that harass us during demos and meals.

It would be a good idea Jane, if you have them already. Unless you are using a foot pedal and don't need them.

Julz, I don't use y connectors, mine go straight to the gas and oxy tanks.

To avoid extra stops along the way I am just going to climb in back and pee in your stuff. And I am going to wipe boogers in all of your undies.
More stuff to bring:
Granola bars or some other snack if you are not an early riser. I NEVER made it up in time for breakfast.
A jacket or two. I was surprised by how cold it gets at night.

I work in a coffee shop, so I can easily bring several pounds of coffee. Will there be anything to brew coffee with or will I need to bring something?
Greymatter Glass
08-05-2010, 07:34 AM
Rob usually sends down some BOMB coffee, but variety is welcome.
There's one of those nifty robotic one-cup grinder/brewers (or is that Robs?) but there's often a line to use it during meals, I'm sure a small coffee pot would be helpful if you have space. There's always the chance it wont be needed or there wont be room for it, so just plan on that?

What the heck is a canvas tent footprint?
Greymatter Glass
08-05-2010, 09:46 AM
a canvas tarp to lay under the tent floor. It keeps rocks and sticks from poking through the tent and ripping it.
Footprint = $15
tent = $ a lot more ($65-70 in my case)

Greymatter Glass

Greymatter Glass
08-05-2010, 07:14 PM
nope. I always carry mine when I travel cross country... I wouldn't carry it around AGI.
Big Don has a BIG ass gun that fires .50 magnums he lets people shoot at his place, but it's not all crazy...
Mr. Wonka
08-05-2010, 07:40 PM
Big Don’s .50 cal pistol blows moon sized craters in the ground. He showed it to me when he first bought it, and a few minutes later the ground shook with a loud boom.
A few minutes after that, he came back with a bloody hand after only one shot and was afraid to fire it again. Several years ago, Julian fired one of his muskets, and it picked him up and tossed him back a few feet… I’m glad I was there to see that one!
BTW- If you think Billy the Exterminator is a badass with bugs, you should see how Don handles wasps and hornets- He fires a cannon at them and desecrates their nests with a sonic boom.
Fun times in the back woods of western Pennsylvania!

all i know is that shooting dons thompson contender was one of the most badass things i have ever done in my life and he let me shoot "the judge" and blow up a fucking log with a powder wedge in the same wonderful adventure... dont sleep on the opportunity if big don is only gonna be available one day (last year this was the case) make it a priority to SHOOT! he is beyond super cool and super friendly and funny as hell. if he can tell you like guns than your in. i looked back over my shoulder as i was popping of sniper shots with his bolt action .22 and saw a huge grin on his face cuz there was a handful of us there just to hang and shoot with him that day... thus we blew up a log! agi awesomeness in effect....

great thread , now my lists almost complete.
thank you everyone
the only thing i'm not sure about is how much clear and color to bring. i don't wanna have to ship a bunch of glass home , that was already there.
being a first timer i'm not sure what to expect and what i should bring. i can buy glass from glasscraft there right ? so should i just bring what i would go through in a couple days of playin around , and then buy what i need from glasscraft ?
do any of you have a standard AGI glass list? any suggestions ?
thanks , jeff

Hey
The weather has been very strange lately one night the temp went down to 51 and then up to 95.
Today it rained very hard and now it's very humid tomorrow the same but I have ordered sunshine for the week of the 8th.
If you are camping at Big Dons you should bring a shovel and cut a rain grove on the high side of you tent incase it rains this will divert most of the rain from floating you down the mountain.
I have a challenge this year that is a little different :bouncy
I will also have another garage sale
