Nice setup, very clean. I've been thinking about moving away from my current setup with all my tools in a craftsman tool chest, and putting out the tools on racks like you have.
Looks like you've really maximized your space.

sweet! nice to see people are prospering.
I am digging the stock tube Rack, I think I am going to do one of those soon. I think I will use your under bench rectangle/square design and add a dust cover of some kind.

Looks like you really utilized a small small space. I have seen a lot of shops twice the size, with no room to work!

thanks for the kind words guys.
the tube/rod storage i so cheated on.....there's a company here that manufactures safari bullets.
they get 15-20ft lengths of precision diameter copper tubing in rough pine crates, which they give away when empty.
i cut em into ~3ft lengths and toe-nailed em together.......viola! racks.....i need to make a couple more.
the tool rack is the solution to my long standing problem of never being able to put my hand on the tool i want without putting the small shards of glass under said tool, under my fingernail.
works like a charm. ;)
the lamp on the wall by the color is kludged onto a spare SSR and a lantern battery, running upstairs to a doorbell, which is how my daughters get my attention in the middle of the night, cause i can't hear shit with the fan on.
the place is still kinda a work in progress, the fusing/flatwork bench goes on the other side of the wall with the color chart......eventually. and someday i'll figure out a place to store finished stock other than big cardboard boxes in my storeroom.....
it was a bitch, because my house was built in 1914, and the basement dug under it some years later, so nothing was square, level, or straight......but it beats the shit out of my old shop.
i wish i had some "before" pics.....you wouldn't believe me.
i've only got the one station, but if you're ever comin through western ks on I-70 (like there's another way through :P) look me up, we'll melt some shit.

just trying to give an accurate idea of my space, while barely being able to back up enough to get it into the camera window. ;)
i assume you mean my tanks with the stickler points?
honestly, it was raining last night when i took these, and i didn't feel like going outside in it for gas setup pics.
i think i actually have it to code this time, surprisingly enough (not that i'd know, there is no fire inspector here.....well, there is, but he checks the schools and hospital 2x yearly and that's it)
but yeh....the tanks have a shed outside, up against the house, the compressed bottles are chained, the propane runs through copper all the way, there is even a shut-off when it exits the wall under the bench. mike a would be so proud. :tongue2:
