Try using the search function on the board:

Hasslenuts posted this for me earlier 4/2/08

press enter program...

i will go through the steps...
this is from memory so it may be wrong..

1. user / selects what program (you can do multiple programs 1 is program 1, 2 is program 2 ect....once you get your programs enterd you can switch between programs using the recall program button)

2. ra1 / is how fast it heats up in one hour (mine is set to 9999)
3. hold / is the temp it will stop and hold at (1050)
4. is hold time / how long it stays at set temp (mine is set for 10 hours)
5. is where the ramp down section starts ra2? / is how much temp it drops every hour (think mine is at 75 maybe?)
6. is temp2? / wich is what temp it will drop every hour until it reaches that temp..(mine is 700, if ra2 says to drop 75 degrees a hour it will drop 75 every hour until it hits 700)
7,8,9 you can have it do any combo of ramp down / temps ect...

when the kiln is holding at set temp and you wnat it to ramp down..
hit "view segment" then REAL FAST hit "enter" , "enter"

the display will say somthing like ra2 and it will go into the segment after the hold point

it's real nice having your kiln cool down after 10 hours (just incase)
if it starts cooling after 10 hours and your still working just hit start stop and it will start all over)

another reason to set it at 10 hours is it flashes between the temp and how long it will hold for...so you know how long it has been on ...or (my trick) is look at how much hold time it's flashing when you put a headdie in. and watch it when you take it out..(keeps you from pulling your piece out after only say 1 min)

so you know exactly how long you have been garaging your piece for

again i didn't look at it at all when typing so i might have missed somthing..

Thanks again Hass!

I use three programs pretty much.

User 1 is:
ra1-9999
hold- 1050
hold time - 8 hours

Thats my regular working program.

Then user 2 is:

ra1- 9999
hold - 1050
hold time - 1 hour
ra2 - 200
hold 960
hold time 1 hour
ra3 - 200
hold 850
hold time 1 hour
ra4 - 200
hold 600
hold time 1 hour

Then it turns off, for striking use the same except for the first temp set it to whatever you want to strike 1150 works good for me.
