Well Dancing,
Looks like y'all on the EC need the the well wishes this morning. Indiatlantic Beach was on the news this morning, it didn't look that bad. Enjoy the surf!! Looks like I'll be headed east tomorrow.

It's headed for us today, I say bring this bitch on! I gotta work anyway, I just hope it's not in ankle deep water being three blocks off the ocean. But I'm not really worried.

Caught some nice chest high wind sloppers. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow. Talked to some of my peeps in Melbourne today they got like 30 inches of rain. Hope none of y'all floated away.

We got our power back on at 5pm today. The hurricane kicked my ass this time. Storms I can handle, power out for days I can handle, having to pick up THOUSANDS of palm leaves I can handle, (I have over 200 palm trees on 3 acres) I can even handle my GF getting bit by our dogs on accident, the emergency room with 4 kids and her broken hand. I'm still a bit shaken by finding my friend/neighbor 3 days dead in his chair after the storm, and explain that to the kids. But I think I can handle that too. I 'm usually the first to say "fuck a storm" but Fay brought the pain.

It was pretty flooded in my neighborhood and surrounding areas. I got to see and smell sewage rushing out of the ground and flooding the streets around the corner, not a pretty sight. Of course I was driving through it before I realized what the smell was. My septic tank backed up so I had to go use this putrid public restroom that I suspect everyone else whose septic tanks had backed up used before I got there. I actually prefer the smell of the raw sewage flood to that of this restroom. Thank god my toilets are flushing again now! What a shitty day.....
We got about 22 inches of rain and it's not stopping yet. This storm has been sitting there spinning right over us all day.....
Dude, you found your neighbor dead? That's crazy..... sorry to hear that man.

Not to be too sexist, but it seems the storms named after men just come in, fuck shit up and leave, where as the female storms can't make up their mind and just hang around raining over everything. The bright spot in Fay is that she continues to put out.

I don't know really what to say but I feel your pain. I hope he didn't have kids himself. I'm guessing the storm and his death aren't related but none of that really matters nothing changes the loss. Hang in there the sun will shine again.

This is definately worse than 2004, it's not the most powerful but it's just sitting over us all night and day 40+mph winds and constant rain all night. But still got power when all around us are in the dark. It pays to live by a hospital. This sucks, "Fay" is a true bitch and she needs to go away.

It hasn't been bad at all here in Daytona, pretty windy and a little flooding.
Maestro, that's crazy you found your neighbor dead after the strom. A very similar thing happened to me in '04 after we got hit by like 4 canes in a row. The cops were outside my neighbors house and asked me to go in and check, since there was some weird legal reason they couldn't go in. found him dead in a chair, with a phone in his hand and a branch sticking out of his neck.

We got about 8 inches of rain here in Mims. There is ponding in the field and a little water in the studio. I would say we got off light compared to Melbourne... where I used to live. So mcuh for the drought.

Robbin,
Glad to hear you made it through. Talked to old Joe G. his place flooded in W. Melbourne, he lives not to far from your old studio. Look what my buddy caught in his driveway next to FIT.

Dave - Is that a Redfish? Do you know how much time and money I have spent trying to catch a fish like that on the Mosquito Lagoon? IN HIS DRIVEWAY???
I thought Joe had to go away for a while. What happened? PM me if you think it better.
