oh SNAP.
Someone call Doni and tell her it's GAME ON!
GAME ON BITCHES!
If they want to come to Albuquerque I'll totally sponsor an all female scientific glass blower klien bottle stacking competition - top prize is a liter of Knob Creek.

Is this the elusive and legendary "triple blown" technique? Someone call sinbad asap!
Seriously though, sick work...

I don't think you can find enough contestants for the flame off.
I don't think Doni can do three kliens like that but she has proven me wrong in the past.
I have done 2 kliens but it takes to long to make and it's not worth the time unless you are bored with life. I would rather work on something useful.
See you in Tucson Doug

I think :oh: about covers it all...
i'll second that.
whats the point of a klein bottle though? and does a triple do anything special or is it just made so someone could show they could do it?

They're essentially functionless - objects d' art, if you will.
it's a tangible approximation of an intangible mathematical function. Similar to a mobius strip.
As for contestants - if we can get doni and sally in one room to have a klien-off, that would work.

Too bad we can't view it in the fourth dimension, i heard that is where they go from art to being useful...

Sick! Definately took some extreme thought and planning, could care less if there's a crack in it. I know I would never attempt it. Who made it by the way, you Harpentuen? Whomever great work!

Wow, that is killer! Say is made by Alan Bennett of Hi-Q glass in Bedford, United Kingdom. Couldn't find much on him after a few searches, no doubt a very skilled scientific blower with too much time to kill!!

Thats a pretty cool klein bottle.
We've got a cool project going on where I work. It's a 9 layer sphere with an opening on the outer layer that leads to each of the spheres. The O.D is about 7 inches.
Here are some ACTION pics!
