Okay, the 9th annual Art Glass Invitational (AGI) will take place from Monday, August 17th through Saturday, August 22nd, 2009.
So far, here is what we have in store for you which is only the tip of the iceberg… there’s MUCH more on the way.
-Carmen Lozar: Carmen is an exceptionally gifted glass worker who creates lifelike sculptures (solid and hollow) that celebrate the simple yet pleasurable moments of life. In addition to the beauty of the glass, Carmen’s thought process and the way she sees the world is truly inspiring.
-Furnace working: Alex Ubatuba will be demonstrating offhand glass working using a Jen-Ken crucible kiln and a portable glory hole.
-Lewis Wilson and Doni Hatz collaboration: Lewis came up with a new product that sells very well, and he would like to share the product, techniques, and marketing with you.
Lewis and Doni will also focus on how to properly conduct collaborations with multiple artists… from planning to execution, with a strong emphasis on continuity.
-Barry Lafler: Scientific glass working demonstration, followed by the dedication of the newest building which will be called, “The Barry Lafler Building”
